NEK, The Norwegian Electrotechnical Committee, was founded in 1912. NEK
became the 21st. member of IEC, The International Electrotechnical Commission. NEK is an independent and neutral organisation promoting electrotechnical standardisation and the use of standards at the national, regional and international levels. The organisation is a founding member of CENELEC and the Norwegian representative in international certification schemes.

NEK vil arrangere flere kurs i NEK 440 i perioden februar til april 2012.
Kursene vil bli arrangert i samarbeid med REN og Energi Norge.
NEK deltok aktivt på fjorårets IEC General Meeting (GM) i Melbourne, Australia. IEC betyr International Electrotechnical Commission. Vi var representert både på teknisk og administrativt nivå.
