The Standards Norway user group for IFD Library has developed a new Technical Specification, SN/TS 3489:2010, specifying how IFD Library information shall be implemented in an IFC model.
It is a Technical Specification with IT focus targeted at suppliers and developers of buildingSMART-compatible ICT tools. SN/TS 3489:2010 will be a core part in the implementation of IFD Library (semantic) information in building information models (BIM). The Specification is published in English, and it is the intention to develop it further to establish this as a global ISO standard.
