An agreement to cooperation on standardization between South Korea and Norway is established.
A memorandum of understanding for cooperation relating to standardization between the Korean Agency for Technology and Standards (KATS) and Standards Norway was signed in July 2009.
The purpose of the agreement with our South Korean sister organisation is to contribute to the elimination of technical barriers to trade and to facilitating economical relations between South Korea and Norway. The desire is to promote mutual interests of our national stakeholders through cooperation in the areas of standardization on the basis of equality and mutual benefit.
The time scale for the agreement is five years and it will automatically be extended every five years unless otherwise is agreed on.
