The service is set up so that users in the company can log on using a username and password. When you have logged on, you have access to the subscription via our webpage standard.no, directly from the "subscription" - tab from the top menu. Here, company employees can at all times access the products the company subscribes to. Optionally we can arrange direct IP-based access from the company's intranet without logon.
It is cheaper to have your standards available online than to buy them on paper. If you have a large number of standards, a quantity discount applies, making the service even more desirable for companies.
How to get access to the service
When registering to use this service the company's organization number must be provided, as well as who will function as the company administrator. The administrator will be in charge of ordering standards for the company to subscribe to. The administrator will also give access to other users from the company. Username = email address, and cannot be chosen. Password is chosen by the users, and an email is sent to them confirming their username.
Which products are available?
Norwegian Standards, collections, eForms, ISO- and IEC-standards can be subscribed to. Requests to add other documents to the company's subscription site can be accomodated for by individual agreement between the company and Standard Online.
Viewing and printing
The documents are in PDF-format. As a subscriber you can view the documents as many times as you want. The number of printouts depends upon the number of simultaneous users registered to the specific document (does not apply to eForms). Extra printouts however, are discounted at 70%. Standards are protected by copyright laws and can therefore not be stored locally on your computer, nor forwarded to others.

The prices of individual products you wish to add to your web subscription, are available in the webshop. When you are logged in to the webshop, the prices quoted are calculated taking your company's discounts into account.
Standards monitoring included
Your company's subscription administrator will receive alerts by email when an updated version of one of your standards has been released and added to your subscription site. This means you do not need to register for Standards Monitoring for the standards in your web subscription.
Subscription duration and options for changing subscriptions
The duration of the subscription is three years. Subscription products will be available for the duration of the calendar year they are ordered and for the following two years. Following the third subscription year the subscription is renewed automatically for one year at a time unless it is cancelled three months before the end of the year. New products may be added to the subscription throughout the year and are invoiced according to the discounted price that applies to the product for the year. From the following renewal they are included in the basis for calculating the new discounted annual price for the agreement.
Pricing of expired standards in the subscription
Standards that are withdrawn in the course of an agreement year will be available without extra charge until 31 December the same year.
If Purchaser continues to subscribe to the expired standards, the price for the subsequent agreement year will be discounted by 50%.
