    • I have problems logging in

      Most likely your email and / or password are typed incorrectly. If you have forgotten your password use the "Forgotten password?" feature.

      You can copy the password sent to you and paste this into the password box, as some characters can be difficult to distinguish from each other.

    • I have problems with opening/reading a document

      In order for the standard to be opened and printed, it must be opened in Adobe PDF reader

      Adobe Acrobat Reader DC can be downloaded for free from www.adobe.com.

      Some browsers sometimes uses their own PDF-program. Here is a general solution for PDF in Windows:

      • Download the standard
      • Go to windows folder the file resides in
      • Right click the file
      • Choose "Open with"
      • Then choose Adobe
      • The standard should now open.

      We recommend using the Internet Explorer on our site, since this browser works best with our website and systems.

      Other PDF readers

      If you have any other PDF readers installed (FoxIt, Nuance, PDFComplete, PDF Converter, Nitro) in addition to Adobe, and these are used instead of Adobe, an error message looking like this (or similar) will appear:

      This message will depend on which PDF reader who tries to open the document on your computer.

      To solve this problem, you can set Adobe as the default PDF program in the operating system (Windows/Mac). For information about setting system standards see: https://helpx.adobe.com/no/acrobat/kb/not-default-pdf-owner-windows10.html If you do not want to do this, then you can right-click the file you download and select "Open in / Open with", and manually select Adobe from the list that appears.

       

      Do you have problems with eForms?

      To open eForms in PDF you have to use Adobe Acrobat Reader in your browser. Read more about this under the heading “Unable to open eForms / How to open eForms in different browsers” (PS: this info is only available in Norwegian).

    • I have problems reading standards on my mobile or tablet

      To read standards you have in your subscription on your smartphone or tablet, you must first download the Adobe Reader application (app) to your smartphone or tablet.

      Go to Adobe's website to download the Adobe Reader app for your device
       
      When you open a standard it opens up on a new page in your browser. Via this new page you can open the standard in the Adobe Reader application.
       
      You must be connected to the Internet to be able to open and read standards in the application.

    • Problems opening locked forms in your subscription

      If you search after a form in the search engine after name or reference this error message can occur:

      This happens when someone has opened the form, but not closed it correctly.

      Locked forms can only be opened by the user which it is locked to. The document is locked if the user closes the e-form via the junction at the top right of your browser or click on the back button on your browser - proper termination of e-forms is to click "Cancel" or "Save and Close".

      Even an administrator of the subscription will not be able to open the form in these cases.

      If a form is correctly closed, it will not lock. 

      If you cannot find the forms by searching for them you can sort your forms by using the tabs above each column, either by name, modified date or reference. Remember to press the "Show all" if you have performed a search (to remove the search).
       
      To find the forms use the arrows at the bottom of the page, to browse your forms. To increase number of hits per page choose 30 or 50 from the dropdown menu.

    • Problemer med å lagre innhold i eBlanketter

      "Jeg benytter meg av eBlanketter, men har problemer med å lagre innhold jeg fyller inn i blanketten."

      Dette problemet oppstår hvis blanketten åpnes utenfor nettleser. Det vil si et eget vindu. For at blanketten skal åpnes i nettleser må haken for “vis PDF i nettleser” være huket av. Denne innstillingen finner du under rediger-fanen i Adobe, innstillinger i bunn og internett under kategorier. Når dette er gjort, lukker du Adobe og gjør et nytt forsøk på å åpne blanketten i blankettsystemet.

      De fleste blanketter er nå utviklet, eller er underveis til å bli utviklet, med veiviser-teknologi. Dette for å unngå at blanketter kun fungerer hos brukere med Adobe installert.

  • How to use the webshop

    • Register as a customer

      To register as a customer, click on "New user?"-link at the top of the page and fill in the registration form. You can use the TAB key to switch between the boxes.

      All relevant details must be filled in as correctly as possible. All details of your registration (new standards, subscription and monitoring) will be sent to the e-mail address you have given.

      When you have read and accepted the Sales conditions, click on "Register me as a new user". You will then be sent an e-mail with confirmation of your registration as a customer of the standard.no webshop.

      Log in using your user name and password to begin shopping. For the time being, you will only be able to purchase using a credit card. If you are a Norwegian company, you can be invoiced when your company information has been verified with Brønnøysundregistrene, and we have checked for any existing agreement with your company. This is normally processed the next working day.

    • Log in

      On standard.no you can always log in right next to the green shopping cart. (where you can also register as a new customer).

      When you are logged in you can manage your customer information on "My Page". You are free to change your password, view your agreements with Standard Online, as well as view your billing history. If you are a subscription customer you will also have access to your subscription information.

      When you are logged in, purchasing standards is quick and easy.

      Zero hits on search?

       

      • Search without year
      • Search only the standard's number without NS, ISO, EN, etc.
      • Tick the box for "Include withdrawn standards" - the standard you are looking for may be withdrawn
      • Ensure words are spelled correctly
      • Try different words with the same meaning
      • Use fewer keywords


      Search Tips

       

      1. Search only with the standard number
      2. Try other inflections and endings of words
      3. Narrow your search results
      4. Search only for standards in your subscription
      5. What does the number of hits in the search results mean?

      1: Search only with the standard number
      Standards with parts defined by numbers, letters , etc. often use different characters between numbers and number/letter combinations, depending on supplier. If you don't get what you were looking for try only searching the "main number" and refine your search later. For example, search for only 8405 instead of 8405a , 8405-a or 8405.a.

      2: Try other inflections and endings of words
      The search engine handles not always different inflections and endings of words. Try therefore other inflections of your keywords if you do not get hit on what you expected.

      3: Narrow your search results
      You can refine your search by selecting functions under "Narrow results " to the left of the search results page, so that the sample gets smaller. Read more about this in a separate section further down the page.

      4: Search only for standards in your subscription
      Choose to see the search results within your subscription only (applicable for logged-in subscription customers). When logged in you will get an extra tab for your subscription when searching.

      5: What does the number of hits in search results mean?
      The tabs in our search result show a number in parentheses. This number indicates all results for that query total for all categories (hits in standard number, standards content, the  website in general or in your subscription).
       
      If the number in parentheses say that there are 10 hits in standards, but it is only one standard in the results, this is as an indication that there is one standard you get hit for on fin the standard number, and nine hits in the entire contents of 9 other standards.


      Narrow your search results - how it works

       

      Status:
      Here you can restrict within valid or withdrawn standards (PS: to get hold of withdrawn standard please tick the box "Include withdrawn standards").

      Standard:
      Select the type of standard you are looking for, such as NS, ISO, NEK.

      Item Type:
      Select item type, such as standard, collection, courses, eForms, and more.

      Language:
      Choose which language you are after, for example Norwegian or English .

      Published:
      Select the release date of the standards, or when an article/information site was published, for example, any products or articles published in the last 6 months.

      ICS:
      Refine your search using the ICS codes.


      How does our search work?

       

      Our search priorities are simply explained this way:

      1. Hits in standard number
      2. Hits in the title of standards and content
      3. Hits in withdrawn standards
      4. Hits in the content of the website otherwise

      The results are prioritized by relevance, how often your search term occurs in the relevant standard or content in general.

      1: Hits in standard number
      Initially we will give you hits in standard numbers

      2: Hits in the title of standards and content
      If there are no hits in standard numbers, then we display hits in the rest of the content of standards. You can also choose to tick for search in content rather than the standard number in the first place.

      3: Hits in withdrawn standards
      Initially we don’t show hits in withdrawn standards. If you want to see hits in withdrawn standards tick when the box "Include withdrawn standards".

      4: Hits in the content of the website otherwise
      The search result may display multiple tabs for different content, depending on how many places you can find what you are looking for. For example you may also (or only) get hits on content on our website, from articles, sectors, etc.

       

    • Buy a standard

      You can order the delivery of standards in several ways.

      Single purchase

      Once you've found the standard you want to buy, click on one of the purchase buttons to add the variety to the cart.

      Webprint:
      Delivered electronically in PDF format (Adobe), to print from your own printer. You cannot save such electronic standards (PDF) permanent on your PC. You must print out the number of copies of the standard you have ordered.

      The standards are available for 7 days on "My page" for download and printing.
      The files can not be downloaded and saved on your computer permanently, as they will be blocked 72 hours after downloading.

      PS: Print to File will use up a print-out and files will be blocked after a short time.
       
      Printed and bound:
      You can also opt to have them delivered as "Printed and bound". Standards ordered are usually despatched the same working day or the first working day after ordering. A service charge will be made for supplying standards in print.

      You can also order standards via your subscription. Read more

    • Print it yourself

      The quickest way to gain access to the standards you need is to select the delivery option "Print it yourself." Once you have completed your purchase, the standards you have selected to print yourself will be found on "My page".

      The standards are available for 7 days on "My page" for download and printing.
      The files can not be downloaded and saved on your computer permanently, as they will be blocked 72 hours after downloading.

      Standards you print will be watermarked.
       
      To open and print the files, you will need to use Adobe Reader or another extended version, such as Adobe Acrobat Standard or Professional. We recommend that you use the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader to read and print electronic standards, available free of charge from www.adobe.com.

    • Security warning when opening a document

      This message appears because the document/standard that you want to open contacts Standard.no for authorization. The document contacts our server to get the rights/approval to display this document. The message is an automatic message when a program attempts to read something outside your area, and is completely harmless. If you don’t want this message again the next time you open this and similar documents, check the box "Remember my action for this site", although the document will do the same task each time to get the rights/approval to open. The action will only apply to documents from Standard.no.
       
      Click "Allow" to allow the document to perform the action.
       
       
       

       
      Notification

       

      Notification

       

      Standard.no monitors printing of the document, and records how many times the document is printed. To avoid seeing the message the next time you read the document, check the box “Do not show again”.

      Click "OK" to continue printing.

    • I have problems reading standards on my mobile or tablet

  • eForms

    • Useful information about eForms - not ordinary PDF

      Our eForms are not ordinary PDFs - so certain guidelines for use are acquired

      • Our eForms must be opened in a PDF reader from Adobe with an addon in the internet browser.
      • If you open eForms in Adobe outside the internet browser, the eForm will lose contact with Standard Online's server and our eForm system.
      • If you try to save the document on a computer, you will get an error message saying that the document can’t be saved. All data entered into the form will be lost if you do this.
      • If you need a digital copy (locked for changes), this must be saved using the "Save close" function. Then select "Print" to open the document. You will now be able to save or print copies.
      • If you use Adobe functionality in an open PDF form, you will be able to print and save a static PDF, but if you click on "Save" or "Save and Close" before printing, all data will be lost.

    • Får ikke åpnet eBlankett / Hvordan åpne eBlanketter i ulike nettlesere

      For å få åpnet PDF-skjemaer må man bruke et PDF-program fra Adobe i nettleser. Andre PDF-lesere som f.eks. PDF Xchange Viewer vil ikke fungere på disse dokumentene.

      Vises knapper over din blankett eller vises bare toppen av en standard?

      Løsningen gjelder for Internet Explorer. I denne videoen viser vi deg hvordan du løser problemet:

       

      Spesielt ved bruk av Firefox

      Ved bruk av nettleseren Mozilla Firefox sine standardinnstillinger får du ikke åpnet PDF-skjemaer. Dette er på grunn av at Firefox har sin egen innebygde PDF-leser. For å endre innstillingene til å bruke Adobe Reader sin PDF-leser for nettlesere må man inn på Firefox sine innstillinger som du finner øverst i høyre hjørne på skjermen. Gå inn på «Innstillinger». Da får man opp et nytt bilde med flere “Faner”. Gå videre inn på fanen “Programmer” (illustrasjonsbilde kommer).

      OBS! Alle steder hvor det henvises til Adobe skal denne henvise til “Adobe Acrobat (i Firefox) under “Handling”-kolonnen. Nettleseren må startes på nytt for at endringer av innstillingene skal fungere.

    • Hvordan regnes kontraktssum ut for byggblankett 8405 A og 8406 A?

      Har du problemer med byggblankett 8405 A eller byggblankett 8406 A når det gjelder å fylle skjema for å få riktig kontraktssum? Under følger et eksempel på hvordan du skal fylle ut disse blankettene.

      • Punktet om sum for eventuelle korreksjoner skal inneholde alle korreksjoner, pluss eller minus, som foretas mellom fastsettelsen av tilbudet og selve kontraktsinngåelsen.
      • Summen som fremkommer ved å ta tilbudssummen pluss eller minus korreksjoner må, dersom alle ytelser er mva. belagt, skrives inn på nytt i den første raden under tittelen "Herav ytelser som er mva. belagt, inkl. korreksjoner".

  • Payment

    • Invoice

      As a registered customer with valid credit you will be able to pay for your purchases by invoice. The invoice will be sent by post to your registered postal address.

    • Card

      When paying using a creditcard all transactions will be processed via NETS. NETS is a secure and stabile payment solution, which supports a range of securitystandards for Internet transcations (SSL, Verified by Visa, MasterCard Securecose etc.)
       
      We accept Visa and Eurocard (Mastercard). To shop using a creditcard through NETS you will simply need to fill in the following:

      • Cardnumber
      • Expiration date
      • CVC code (The last 3 digits in the signaturefield on the back of the card)

      For further information regarding security and payment, please refer to NETS website.

    • Payment on delivery

      In certain circumstances, payment on delivery can be arranged for private customers. An additional fee of NOK 130 applies. The delivery must be picked up from your local post office.

    • eFaktura

      Standard Online tilbyr eFaktura
      For alle kunder som er knyttet til et aksesspunkt som muliggjør mottak av faktura i EHF-format (elektronisk handelsformat) kan Standard Online nå tilby elektronisk faktura. EHF-formatet er den samme løsningen som alle statlige instanser gikk inn på fra 1. juli 2012.

  • Delivery

    • Print it yourself

      The quickest way to gain access to the standards you need is to select the delivery option "Print it yourself." Once you have completed your purchase, the standards you have selected to print yourself will be found on "My page".

      The standards are available for print for 7 days after purchase. When printed, the files are deleted from "My Page". The files can not be downloaded and saved on your computer.

      Standards you print yourself will be watermarked.
       
      To open and print the files, you will need to use Adobe Reader or another extended version, such as Adobe Acrobat Standard or Professional. We recommend that you use the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader to read and print electronic standards, available free of charge from www.adobe.com.

    • Printed copies by post

      Goods sent by post will be despatched via the postal service unless otherwise agreed. An invoice will be included if the invoice and delivery address are the same. The goods will usually be despatched the same weekday or the first weekday after ordering. A service charge will be made for supplying standards in print. (In Norway).

    • Add to subscription

      If you have a web subscription with us, you can add any standards you order to your subscription.

      As a subscriber, you have permanent access to standards and can read documents as often as you require. Your company can also make as many printouts of each standard as the number of concurrent users agreed. Standards are protected by copyright, and cannot therefore be saved locally, forwarded or copied.

    • Monitoring

      Standards monitoring is a free service designed for you who wish to be alerted of changes to or new editions of the standards required in your work.

      The moment new editions of the standards you monitor are released, changes are made, or appendixes are published, you will be alerted by email. This ensures that you are always up-to-date and saves you both time and money.

      How to monitor a standard:

      Click the "OK" - button to confirm that you wish to add the standard to your monitoring service.

    • Outside Norway

      Advance payment of the price of the goods plus carriage and packaging must be made in advance for delivery to addresses outside Norway. When buying from our web shop, payment is easiest via credit card.

    • Consumers

      Deliveries to private individuals must be paid by credit card. In certain circumstances, payment on delivery can be arranged. Such instances must be arranged with one of our sales personnel. Private individuals have the right to cancel an order under the terms of Norwegian legislation. A cancellation form can be downloaded at the bottom of the page, and is enclosed in shipments to private individuals.

      General

      Standard Online has fixed prices for the goods and services we provide. Prices are stated ex-VAT and service charge, currently NOK 60. Large consignments sent by post can be subject to a higher price. Standard Online's terms of payment are 20 days from date of invoice. Interest will be applied to overdue invoices in accordance with Norwegian legislation. Reminders will be subject to a charge.

      Marking invoices

      If a PO/order number or other information is to be printed on the invoice by Standard Online, please state when ordering.

      Liability for errors in standards

      All our deliveries are based on an electronic original, usually in PDF format, whether the goods delivered are electronic or on paper. We take every precaution to ensure that PDF files are saved in accordance with Adobe's specifications. Standard Online cannot be held liable for incorrect reproduction when displayed or printed on the customer's equipment.

      Electronic delivery of standards on paper

      If ordering delivery as a PDF file to print on your own printer, the file will be uploaded initially to "My page". PDF format is used. It can be printed from there in the number of copies ordered. The standard are available for print for 7 days after purchase. When printed, the files are deleted from "My Page".       General

      These sales conditions apply to the sale of all goods from www.standard.no. Along with an order placed with the standard.no webshop, confirmed by an order confirmation, they represent the combined contractual basis for the sale. The conditions are numbered consecutively in the event of changes. We will store details of which version of the Sales conditions that are applicable to your order. In order to shop at www.standard.no your business must be registered as a customer in our webshop. Business transactions are regulated by the Sale of Goods Act, Personal Data Act, E-Commerce Act and Credit Purchases Act.

      2. Making a purchase in the webshop

      In order to help you when ordering/shopping in our webshop, we have collected information on the purchasing process, etc., in our shopping guide.

      3. Ordering and contract process

      Your order is binding when the order is registered with us. We are similarly bound by your order if it does not differ from that offered by us in our webshop, promotional material or in some other way. When we receive your order, it will automatically be confirmed. Order confirmation and receipts for payment by credit card will be displayed on the screen and sent to your registered e-mail address. Please review your order confirmation thoroughly upon receipt and check that it complies with the order.

      3.1 Invoice labelling
      If you require a purchase order no./order no. or other information to be added to the invoice from Standard Online, this must be provided when ordering.

      4. Data entered in the webshop

      We strive to provide our customers with information on our products that is correct as possible. We cannot however be held liable for textual and printing errors, which can entail that we cannot deliver in accordance with the information given in our webshop, our promotional materials or in some other way. We furthermore reserve the right to cancel an order or part of the same if the product is sold out. In the event of a product being out of stock, we will notify you.

      5. Prices

      Standard Online has fixed prices for the goods and services on offer. All prices are stated exclusive of value added tax and service fees, which are currently NOK 60. In the case of larger shipments by post, fees are higher. The total cost including VAT for the purchase will be stated before ordering, and will include all charges related to the purchase, such as carriage, packaging etc.

      6. Payment

      The purchase price may be settled by credit card or invoice. When using a credit card, the purchase price will be deducted from your card when placing the order. A service charge of NOK 60 or 95 excluding VAT will be charged for delivery by post depending on the number of products and weight of the shipment. Special rates apply to deliveries abroad. An invoice will be issued upon dispatch and is due for payment 20 days from the invoice date. If the invoice is not paid by the due date, interest shall accrue in conformity with the Interest on Delayed Payments Act. If reminders must be sent, a reminder fee will be levied. Unpaid overdue invoices will be referred to debt collection without prior notification.

      7. Consumer purchase

      7.1 Payment
      Deliveries to private customers must be paid by credit card. Goods may in special circumstances be sent C.O.D. This must be agreed upon with one of our sales representatives. Private customers have a right of cancellation in accordance with the Act relating to a cooling-off period in connection with certain contracts for consumer purchases etc. The cancellation form may be downloaded using the link at the bottom of the page, and is also attached to dispatches to private customers.
       
      7.2 Right of cancellation
      Standard Online produces the standards according to order. This means that we do not produce more than we sell. This also has environmental benefits. As the products are made to order, they cannot be returned. If you are a consumer, you have certain special rights, namely a 14 day right of cancellation. However, this may be restricted. If the product is specifically produced for you, you must cover the costs for actual work and materials, as production commences before expiry of the right of cancellation. As this process is entirely automated, production cannot be deferred. If you are ordering standards that are to be printed, the right to cancellation may be restricted. If you are ordering standards for printing yourself, the right to cancellation is waived when the standard is printed.

      8. Conditions for course registrations

      Registration for courses is binding. Any cancellations must be made in writing. In case of cancellation there will be a charge of 20% of the course fee, with a minimum amount of
      NOK 500.
       
      In case of cancellation later than:
      • 14 days before the course the charge is 50% of the course fee
      • 7 days before the course the course fee is charged in full
       
      Paid spaces may freely be used by other participants from the same company. Written notification is required. We reserve the right to cancel or change the programme in the event of circumstances beyond our control.

      9. Delivery and delay

      Products will be delivered in the manner stated on the order confirmation.
      If delivery of products is delayed, we will provide notification as soon as we are aware of it, along with details of when delivery can be made, or whether the products are out of stock. Depending on the nature of the product and length of delay, you can withhold payment (depending on the circumstances), demand delivery, claim compensation or cancel the order.
       
      9.1 Electronic delivery of paper standards
      If ordering delivery as a PDF file for printing on your own printer, the file will be delivered immediately to the customer's “My Page.” The PDF format is used. The number of copies that have been ordered may then be printed. The products are available for print for 7 days after purchase. When printed, the files are deleted from "My Page".       9.2 Electronic delivery of standards to subscribers
      In order to receive electronic delivery the user must accept the terms of the End user licence.

      10. Checking products

      Check that a delivery complies with the order confirmation, for damage during transport or for any defects or deficiencies as soon as possible after delivery.

      11. Responsibility for errors in standards

      All of our deliveries are based on a digital original, ordinarily in PDF format, regardless of whether the delivery is digital or on paper. All efforts have been made to ensure that the PDF files are in accordance with Adobe’s specifications. Standard Online cannot assume responsibility if they do not display or print correctly on the customer's equipment. Standard Online AS sells products produced by others and assumes no responsibility for the content of the standards. Nor are we responsible for deficiencies and costs that may arise as a result of using the standards.

      12. Your rights in the event of defects or deficiencies (warranty claim)

      Warranty claims must be submitted within a reasonable period after they are observed or should have been observed. If the products have defects or deficiencies, you can demand remedy of the defect, replacement, price reduction, compensation or cancellation of the purchase. Defects must be present when the product enters into your possession. Notification of defects and deficiencies concerning the products can be made to us verbally or in writing. We recommend that warranty claims are submitted in writing for the sake of evidence. We will confirm receipt of all warranty claims in writing, including receipt of goods returned to us for inspection or repair.

      13. Return of goods

      Products that have been produced to order cannot be returned (Print on Demand, POD). This applies to most of our products, regardless of supplier. Products that are not produced POD are indicated by item in the webshop. Standards and publications from other countries are not stocked by Standard Online, and must be specially ordered by us in accordance with your order. Consequently, returns cannot be accepted. In the event of a cancelled order for stock items, we will accept them in return providing notification has been received before the due date for payment. In such instances, the buyer will be liable for all costs associated with carriage etc., and that the goods are in new condition when received by Standard Online. Returns due to breakage, shortages or incorrect delivery must be reported to Standard Online within 8 working days of receipt. All returns must be approved in advance by Standard Online (e-mail: salg@standard.no or tel. +47 67 83 87 00) to agree method of dispatch. Only defects caused by Standard Online (incorrect products, incorrect delivery or warranty claims concerning quality) can give grounds for return. If a defect is caused by the customer, freight charges and 20% of the value of the goods supplied will be charged.

      14. Personal data

      In principle, we only process business details advised to us and which are necessary for us to fulfil our undertakings to your company. In some instances we process business details that also contain personal details for other purposes. This may for example be to send information on offers/information that is relevant to your purchases, etc. by email or as information by post. We will never divulge your personal details to other parties.       15. Proprietary rights

      The Vendor retains the proprietary rights of products supplied until the purchase price including interest and costs has been paid in full.

      16. Disputes

      The parties shall seek to resolve any disputes reasonably. If a dispute is not reasonably resolved between the parties, Oslo district court shall be the court of venue.

    • Prices and conditons for web subscription

      The web subscription agreement consists of several appendices that contain information and conditions for the various services and products the agreement may include.

      Even though all available services and products are not included in the contract at the time of signing, The Buyer can expand the content of the subscription during the contract period, and is responsible for familiarising themselves with the terms and conditions, functionality and user rights. When the products are entered into the subscription, it is deemed that the terms and conditions have been accepted.

      • Concurrent purchase of 25 - 99 copies of a single Norwegian Standard (Norsk Standard) 15%
      • Concurrent purchase of 100+ of a single Norwegian Standard (Norsk Standard) 30%

      Course discount

      Ordering 15 copies of the same standard qualifies for 15% course discount providing the copies are stamped with the course-organiser's name.

      Bulk discount will also apply to a minimum of 25 copies ordered for use in a course. Example: Concurrent order of 25 copies for a course will give 15% course discount and an additional 15% bulk discount, i.e. 30% discount in total.

      Business customers

      In the event of a cancelled order for stock items, we will accept them in return providing notification has been received before the due date for payment. In such instances, the buyer will be liable for all costs associated with carriage etc. The goods must be in new condition when received by Standard Online.

      Norwegian Standards (Norsk Standard) cannot be returned, as Standard Online publishes standards to order (Print of Demand).

      Standards and publications from other countries are not stocked by Standard Online, and can therefore not be returned.

    • Web Subscription Agreement

      The web subscription agreement consists of several appendices that contain information and conditions for the various services and products the agreement may include.

      Even though all available services and products are not included in the contract at the time of signing, The Buyer can expand the content of the subscription during the contract period, and is responsible for familiarising themselves with the terms and conditions, functionality and user rights. When the products are entered into the subscription, it is deemed that the terms and conditions have been accepted.

      Appendices are updated periodically, as new opportunities and services become available.

      General

      The customer (hereinafter called the purchaser) and Standard Online AS (hereinafter called Standard Online), have entered into the following agreement for the delivery and maintenance of standards in paper format as a Paper subscription (hereinafter called the service).

      1. Scope of delivery

      The agreement covers the provision and maintenance of standards in the service from Standard Online. The purchaser is sent standards in paper format, and any other separately agreed publications, for use in the purchaser's own business activities in accordance with the restrictions and conditions specified below.
      The purchaser arranges in Standard Online's web shop which standards he wishes to access under the service. More standards/products can be added to the collection under the terms of this agreement. The end user licence must be accepted before the purchaser can use the delivery described in this agreement. By using the standards covered under this agreement, the purchaser approves and accepts the terms & conditions in the end user licence.

      2. Standard Online's contribution and obligations

      The agreement entitles the purchaser to use a collection of standards, which the purchaser adds to the Service via Standard Online's web shop, or which Standard Online adds to the Service in response to an e-mail or telephone request from the Purchaser.
       
      An updated list of the purchaser's standards in the Service can be found on the purchaser's My Page at standard.no, Standard Online's web shop. Access is by username and password.
       
      Access via IP address, URL (blind login), or a combination of both, is not part of the standard service, but can be agreed separately.

      3. The Purchaser's obligations

      The purchaser's use of the standards is restricted to his company's business activities and employees, including the company's departments and branches. Any external distribution is illegal.
      The agreement is based on the fact that the standards are marked with a protected trademark under the Trademarks Act of 3 March 1961, and the provisions of the Act relating to Copyright in Literary, Artistic and Scientific Works, etc. of 12 May 1961.
       
      The agreement is accepted when the service is ordered.

      4. Fees and payment terms

      Calculation of the subscription price for the standards provided under the service is based on the following:
       
      1. Price calculation.
       
      a. Price of subscription to standards under the service:
      Standard Online's price list applies to all standards delivered to the purchaser under the service. The standards are invoiced on an ongoing basis when new revised versions are sent.
       
      b. Annual fee for technical maintenance/support for the service
      The fee for establishment and annual maintenance for the service, including My Page, Standard Online's web shop at standard.no, is NOK 1,100.
       
      2. Invoicing, due dates and penalty interest
      Please refer to Standard Online's sales terms & conditions.
       
      All prices are exclusive of VAT. We reserve the right to make price changes.

      5. Complaints, breach of contract, sanctions

      a. Complaints
      A party wishing to claim breach of contract must, without unreasonable delay, make a written complaint after the party in question becomes aware of such breach.
       
      b. Breach of contract
      Breach of contract arises if either party fails to perform his contractual obligations.
       
      c. Sanctions
      If the purchaser abuses his rights under the agreement by unauthorised dissemination and use of the copyright-protected materials, this shall be considered gross breach of contract; Standard Online AS shall then be entitled to terminate the agreement with immediate effect and demand compensation.
      In all other respects, Standard Online's sales terms & conditions shall apply.

      6. Assignment

      Rights or obligations under the agreement may not be assigned or in any other way transferred to another party without the written consent of Standard Online.

      7. Disputes

      Disputes relating to the content or implementation of the agreement shall be resolved by negotiation where possible. If such negotiations are fruitless, either party may request the issue to be settled under Norwegian law, with the agreed venue Asker og Bærum District Court.

      Generelt

      Mellom kunden (heretter kalt Kjøper) og Standard Online AS (heretter kalt Standard Online) er følgende avtale inngått om leveranse av årlige oppdateringer av NS 3420 standardsamling (heretter kalt Tjenesten).

      1. Leveransens omfang

      Avtalen omfatter leveranse av standardsamlinger for NS 3420, en tjeneste fra Standard Online. Kjøper får tilsendt de deler av NS 3420 som er nye eller reviderte og som tilhører den standardsamlingen kunden har abonnert på når disse foreligger fra leverandør, normalt 1 gang pr. år.
      Kjøper angir i abonnementet hvilke standardsamlinger som skal inngå i avtalen.
      Se vedlegg 1 for tilgjengelige standardsamlinger.

      2. Standard Onlines ytelser og plikter

      Standard Online skal innen 1 måned etter publisering av ny eller revidert utgave, levere Tjenesten til Kjøper. Avtalen gir Kjøper rett til å benytte kolleksjon av standarder som Kjøper selv har valgt å abonnere på. Standard Online er ikke ansvarlig for forsinkelser fra leverandør av nye og reviderte standarder.

      3. Kjøpers plikter

      Kjøper gjøres oppmerksom på at standarder er opphavsrettslig beskyttet, og at kopiering av standarder ikke er tillatt, i henhold til Lov av 12. mai 1961 om opphavsrett til åndsverk.
      Ved å bestille tjenesten aksepteres betingelsene i denne avtalen.

      4. Vederlag og betalingsbetingelser

      Beregning av abonnementspris for standarder som er med i Tjenesten følger prismodell som i vedlegg 1.

      5. Varighet, fakturering, forfall og morarenter

      Avtalen gjelder fra avtaleinngåelse ut inneværende år, og de to påfølgende år. Avtalen fornyes deretter med et år av gangen hvis den ikke sies opp innen oppsigelsesfristen, se pkt. 6e. Tjenesten faktureres 1 gang per år.
       
      Standard Onlines betalingsbetingelser er 20 dager fra fakturadato. Dersom faktura ikke betales i rett tid, kreves morarente i henhold til Lov om renter ved forsinket betaling m.m. av 1976-12-17, og dersom purring må foretas påløper det gebyr.
       
      Alle priser i vedlegg 1 er oppgitt eks. mva. og ekspedisjonsomkostninger.  Vi tar forbehold om prisendringer.

      6. Reklamasjon, mislighold, sanksjoner, overdragelse, oppsigelse, tvist

      a. Reklamasjon
      Hvis Kjøper vil påberope seg mislighold må han uten ugrunnet opphold reklamere skriftlig etter at han fikk kjennskap til misligholdet. Hvis Kjøper ikke overholder reklamasjonsfristen, kan han ikke kreve erstatning fra Standard Online for misligholdet.
       
      b. Mislighold
      Mislighold foreligger dersom en av partene ikke oppfyller sine forpliktelser iht. avtale.
       
      c. Sanksjoner
      Dersom kjøper gjør seg skyldig i betalingsmislighold, eller misbruker ytelsen ved uautorisert spredning og brudd på de opphavsrettslige beskyttelsesvern, anses dette som vesentlig mislighold som gir Standard Online AS rett til å heve avtalen med øyeblikkelig virkning og kreve erstatning.
       
      d. Overdragelse
      Rettigheter eller forpliktelser etter avtalen kan ikke overdras eller på noen måte overføres til andre uten skriftlig samtykke fra Standard Online.
       
      e. Oppsigelse
      Ønsker Kjøper å si opp abonnementet, må det gjøres skriftlig senest 31. oktober året før avtalen utløper. Dersom avtalen ikke sies opp innen 31. oktober, forlenges avtalen automatisk for ett år og med tilsvarende oppsigelsesfrist.
       
      f. Tvist
      Tvist om innholdet eller gjennomføringen av avtalen skal forsøkes løst ved forhandlinger. Fører ikke forhandlingene frem, kan hver av partene kreve saken avgjort etter norsk rett og med avtalt verneting i Asker og Bærum tingrett.

      Vedlegg 1: Definisjoner og generelle avtalevilkår

       

      1.1 Definisjoner

      Lisensierte produkter kan omfatte standarder, ebok, eblanketter, standardsamlinger og andre produkter fra ulike leverandører som Kjøper til en hver tid har i sitt Abonnement på web.

      Abonnement på web er en tjeneste som tilrettelegges hos Standard Online og som gir elektronisk tilgang til de lisensierte produktene Kjøper ønsker tilgang til. Kjøper kan deretter logge seg på nettsiden www.standard.no med brukernavn og passord. Etter innlogging får man tilgang til abonnementet fra fanen “abonnement” i toppmenyen. Alternativt tilrettelegges abonnementet med en direkte IP-basert tilgang fra Kjøpers Intranett uten innlogging.

      Opphavsrett innebærer enerett til å “råde over åndsverket ved å fremstille eksemplar av det og ved å gjøre det tilgjengelig for allmennheten, i opprinnelig eller endret skikkelse, i oversettelse eller bearbeidelse, i annen litteratur- eller kunstart eller i annen teknikk” – som det heter i åndsverkloven §2. Standarder er litterære verk som er opphavsrettslig beskyttet i henhold til Lov om opphavsrett til åndsverk mv (åndsverkloven) av 1961-05-12. Se Lovdata. Standard Norge fastsetter Norsk Standard og Standard Online forvalter rettighetene både på opphavsmanns- og utgiversiden. Når du kjøper en standard kjøper du et eksemplar av den, men du kjøper ikke rett til å kopiere den opp til kollegaer eller samarbeidspartnere. Trenger du flere eksemplarer må de kjøpes.

      DRM (Digital Rights Management). Produkter som er lagret på eller distribuert via digitale medier er tilrettelagt med DRM. Dette for å administrere tilgangen til de opphavsrettsbeskyttede produktene og fordi DRM sikrer tilgang til det til en hver tid gyldige produkt. Det vil si at det legges begrensninger på lagring, kopiering av innhold og utskrift. Kjøper kan ikke lagre, videresende dokumentet eller kopiere innhold av et lisensiert produkt. For mer informasjon, se vedlegg 5 Sluttbrukerlisens og vedlegg 6 for teknisk spesifikasjon av systemene.

      Beregning av tilgjengelighet. Tilgjengelighet = (Måleperiode – Nedetid x 100) / Måleperiode

      Måleperiode er 3 måneder (kvartalsvis)

      Nedetid er den tiden tjenesten ikke er tilgjengelig for Kjøper.

      Samtidige brukere. Antall samtidige brukere er det antall ansatte som samtidig kan være innlogget på tjenesten.

      Lokasjon: En fysisk adresse bedriften har tilhørighet på.

      1.2 Leveransen omfang

      Avtalen omfatter tilrettelegging og vedlikehold av lisensierte produkter i Abonnement på web med de begrensinger og vilkår som angitt nedenfor.

      Ved avtaleinngåelsen oppgir Kjøper det antall ansatte i bedriften som skal kunne bruke tjenesten samtidig (samtidige brukere). Når tjenesten skal benyttes på flere lokasjoner innenfor et konsern må det være minst én bruker per lokasjon og minst en lokasjon per land.

      Produktene er merket med beskyttet varemerke i henhold til Lov av 26. mars 2010 om beskyttelse av varemerker, og er vernet etter Lov av 12. mai 1961 om opphavsrett til åndsverk.

      Produktene som er lagret på eller distribuert via digitale medier er tilrettelagt med DRM. De ulike lisensierte produktene har ulik funksjonalitet og gir ulike bruksrettigheter. Funksjonalitet og bruksrettigheter til lisensierte produkter som er omfattet av denne avtalen på avtaleinngåelsestidspunktet er beskrevet i vedleggene angitt på avtalens forside. Vedleggene inneholder også informasjon om priser og betingelser som angår det lisensierte produktet. Avtalen innebærer rett til å ta i bruk andre lisensierte produkter til de til enhver tid gjeldende betingelser. Kjøper kan selv utvide innholdet i abonnementet i avtaleperioden og er selv ansvarlig for å sette seg inn i betingelser, funksjonalitet og bruksrettigheter. Når produktene legges til i abonnementet anses betingelsene for akseptert. Se de til en hver tid gyldige priser og betingelser.

      Denne avtalen omfatter enten skoleabonnement eller undervisningsabonnement. Omfanget vil fremkomme i vedlegg 4.

      1.3 Bakgrunn for avtalen

      Formålet med avtalen er å tilgjengeliggjøre standarder for bruk i undervisningen for å fremme kunnskap om standarder og bruk av standarder.

      1.3.1 Alternative abonnementskategorier for skoler

      a) Undervisningsabonnement
      Antall brukere (jfr. samtidige brukere) av abonnementet tilsvarer det antall personer som skal ha tilgang til abonnementet. Abonnementet har minimum 30 samtidige brukere, og inkluderer bruk for både lærere, administrativt personell og studenter. Skolen kan bruke abonnementet i undervisningen ved at hver student kan hente opp standarder fra bærbar eller stasjonær PC gjennom skolens LAN/WLAN. Når studentene slutter ved skolen har skolen ansvar for å påse at disse ikke lenger har elektronisk tilgang til Tjenesten. Skolen skal også påse at uvedkommende ikke får tilgangen til tjenesten. Ved opprettelse av URL-lenke kreves tilgang til skolens IP-adresse. Utskrifter er ikke inkludert i abonnementsprisen.

      Rabatterte utskrifter kan kjøpes av lærere, administrativt personell og studenter/elever gjennom vår nettbutikk ved bruk av en rabattkode. Rabatten er 70 % av listepris dersom standarden skrives ut fra nettbutikken. Dersom det ønskes trykket og innbundet eksemplar sendt i posten, er rabatten 50 %. Gjelder kun norsk standard. I tillegg til skolerabatten ytes det følgende kvantumsrabatter:

      • 10 % kvantumsrabatt ved kjøp av 25-99 standarder.
      • 15 % kvantumsrabatt ved kjøp av over 100 standarder.

      b) Lærerabonnement
      Abonnementet har minimum en 1-3 brukere lisens. Skolens ansatte gis tilgang til standardene og 3 personer kan ha tilgang samtidig. Læreren kan vise frem standardene via PC og projektor i timen.

      Når læreren/administrativt ansatte slutter ved skolen har skolen ansvar for å påse at disse ikke lenger har elektronisk tilgang til Tjenesten. Skolen skal også påse at uvedkommende ikke får tilgangen til tjenesten. Ved opprettelse av URL-lenke kreves tilgang til skolens IP-adresse.
      Utskrifter er ikke inkludert i abonnementsprisen.

      1.4 Standard Onlines ytelser og plikter

      Avtalen gir Kjøper rett til å benytte kolleksjon av produkter tilrettelagt i tjenesten.

      Det gis tilgang til produktene via Kjøpers abonnementsside på www.standard.no. Tilgang til produktene vil skje ved brukernavn og passord eller via IP-verifisert URL-innlogging.

      Produkter som blir trukket tilbake i løpet av et avtaleår vil som regel være tilgjengelig i tjenesten i en periode. Se vedlegg om produktspesifikke betingelser for konkret informasjon om det enkelte produkt. Dersom kjøper ønsker å abonnere videre på de tilbaketrukne produktene må dette avtales spesielt.

      Standard Online skal sørge for at tjenesten er tilgjengelig for kunden minimum 97 % av tiden mellom klokken 0800 og 1600 på virkedager. Tjenesten vil normalt være tilgjengelig for Kjøper også i tiden 1600 til 0800, i helgene og på offentlige høytidsdager, men manglende tilgjengelighet anses ikke som avtalebrudd fra Standard Onlines side.

      Faller tjenesten ut mellom 0800 og 1600 på virkedager betegnes dette som ukontrollert nedetid. Dersom ukontrollert nedetid i løpet av måleperioden overstiger 3 % har Kjøper krav på et forholdsmessig prisavslag på tjenesten. Slike krav må fremsettes samtidig med reklamasjonen, jmf. avtalens punkt 1.4. Prisavslaget vil bli beregnet ut fra driftstjenestens andel av det kvartalsvise vederlaget. Utover dette fraskriver Standard Online seg ethvert ansvar for ukontrollert nedetid.

      Kontrollert nedetid vil forekomme. Fortrinnsvis vil dette skje lørdager og søndager. Kontrollert nedetid kan imidlertid også forkomme mellom 1600 og 0800 alle dager. Kontrollert nedetid vil ikke tas med i beregningsgrunnlaget av tilgjengelighet. Kontrollert nedetid er den perioden Standard Online kan utføre planlagt vedlikehold og oppgradering. Dette kan medføre midlertidig redusert funksjonalitet for Kjøper, eventuelt at tjenesten gjøres utilgjengelig. Ved kontrollert nedetid vil Kjøper bli varslet senest 48 timer før vedlikeholdet/oppgraderingen av tjenesten gjennomføres.

      1.5 Reklamasjon

      Hvis Kjøper vil påberope seg mislighold må Kjøper uten ugrunnet opphold reklamere skriftlig og senest umiddelbart etter måleperiodens utløp.

      1.6 Kjøpers plikter

      Kjøpers bruk av filene er avhengig av abonnementets omfang. Det finnes to alternativer:

      • Undervisningsabonnement
      • Lærerabonnement

      Hvilket alternativ denne avtalen er omfattet av finnes i vedlegg 4.
      Kjøpers bruk av produktene begrenses til bedriftens egen interne virksomhet og ansatte, herunder virksomhetens underavdelinger og avdelingskontorer tilknyttet kjøpers intranett. Enhver ekstern distribusjon er ikke tillatt. Etter oppstart av tjenesten supplerer Kjøper selv nye produkter i tjenesten via Standard Onlines nettbutikk i henhold til de til en hver tid gjeldende betingelser, se Priser og betingelser for abonnement på web.

      Kjøper er kjent med at tjenesten kan ha innebygget tekniske sperrer eller sikkerhetssystemer for å lette Kjøpers oppfyllelse av avtalen, men at det likevel stilles særstilte krav til Kjøper for å forhindre misbruk, herunder uautorisert spredning, brudd på det opphavsrettslige beskyttelsesvern, feil antall samtidige brukere mv.

      Brudd på disse plikter fra Kjøpers side anses som vesentlig mislighold som gir Standard Online rett til å heve kontrakten og til å kreve erstatning i forhold til verdien på tapt salg. Det samme gjelder ved betalingsmislighold. Standard Online kan stenge Kjøpers abonnementstilgang ved betalingsmislighold, normalt etter 1. gangs påminnelse eller når Kjøper til tross for skriftlig påtale benytter tjenesten på en måte som medfører skade eller ulempe for Standard Online eller tredjepart for eksempel ved å benytte tjenesten i strid med loven eller bestemmelser i denne avtalen.

      Det vil ikke bli fratrekk på faktura for den perioden tjenesten er avstengt. Tjenesten vil bli gjenåpnet når faktura og evt. omkostninger er betalt.

      1.7 Pris

      Totalt vederlag, det vil si avtalt pris for denne avtalen på avtaleinngåelsestidspunktet, finnes i
      vedlegg 4.

      1.8 Prisregulering

      Vi tar forbehold om prisregulering som følge av normal prisstigning på standarder for øvrig og regulering av katalogpris, normalt i begynnelsen av hvert kalenderår.  Katalogprisene justeres basert på økning i konsumprisindeksen eller økning i pris på varer fra underleverandører. Vesentlig endring av innholdet i eller strukturen i en standard kan også medføre endringer i katalogprisene. Endring i avtalegrunnlaget som oppjustering av antall samtidige brukere eller økning av antall lisensierte produkter i løpet av avtaleperioden vil påvirke det totale vederlaget.

      1.9 Fakturering, forfall og morarenter

      Første fakturering foretas umiddelbart etter avtaleinngåelse og gjelder ut avtaleåret som er identisk med kalenderåret. Senere fakturering foretas årlig, normalt 1. tertial, og gjelder ut avtaleåret.

      Dersom nye lisensierte produkter eller nye brukere legges til i løpet av avtaleåret sendes det umiddelbart tilleggsfaktura for tilleggsvederlaget ut avtaleåret.

      Standard betalingsbetingelser er 20 dager. Ved forsinket betaling påløper renter i samsvar med lov om forsinkelsesrenter. Dersom purring må foretas påløper det purregebyr.

      1.10 Konfidensialitet

      Konkurranserelatert informasjon som partene får tilgang til som følge av samarbeid skal behandles konfidensielt. Ved tvil om hvorvidt tilgjengelig informasjon bør behandles konfidensielt eller ikke, skal den andre part konsulteres for avklaring.

      1.11 Overdragelse

      Rettigheter eller forpliktelser etter avtalen kan ikke overdras eller på noen måte overføres til andre uten skriftlig samtykke fra Standard Online.

      1.12 Avtalens varighet

      Avtalen løper i 2 år i tillegg til det året avtalen inngås. Avtalen forlenges deretter automatisk for 1 år av gangen med mindre ingen av partene sier den opp innen 31. oktober i det siste avtaleåret.

      Dersom Kjøper ønsker å ta ut noen av produktene som har ligget i tjenesten i minimum 3 år eller redusere antall brukere etter utløpet av treårsperioden, må dette avtales med Standard Online spesielt innen 31. oktober i det siste avtaleåret.

      Produkter som har ligget i tjenesten i mindre enn 3 år når avtalen sies opp kan bli etterfakturert den prisen som ble betalt ved avtaleinngåelse pr. kvartal ganget med gjenstående kvartaler.

      Spesielle betingelser vedrørende avtalens varighet og produkter i tjenesten knyttet til leveranse fra konkrete underleverandører reguleres i egne vedlegg.

      1.13 Konflikter

      Tvist om innholdet eller gjennomføringen av avtalen skal forsøkes løst ved forhandlinger. Fører ikke forhandlingene frem kan hver av partene kreve saken avgjort ved ordinær rettergang med mindre partene blir enige om å la tvisten avgjøres ved voldgift. Avtalt verneting er Asker & Bærum tingrett.

       

      Vedlegg 2 - Tjenesten Abonnement på web

      Tjenesten sikrer at oppdaterte og gyldige produkter alltid er tilgjengelige. Den gir også mulighet for å abonnere på tilbaketrukne standarder ved behov. Produktene som legges til i tjenesten er øyeblikkelig tilgjengelige når kjøpet er gjennomført. Kjøper velger selv mellom abonnement på emnekategorier (ICS), samlinger eller abonnement satt sammen av enkeltprodukter.  Vi kan tilby både online og offline løsning og mulighet for å abonnere på lenker til standardene som kan legges til i bedriftsinterne dokumenter.  Kjøpers administrator kan kategorisere standardene, samt utvide innholdet i tjenesten etter behov etter de til en hver tid gjeldende priser og betingelser.

      2.1 Etablering og årlig vederlag for teknisk vedlikehold/support av Abonnement på web

      Pris for etablering og årlig vederlag for teknisk vedlikehold/support fremkommer i vedlegg 4.

      2.2 Totalt årlig vederlag

      Det totale årlige vederlaget for Tjenesten inkl. lisensierte produkter er oppsummert i vedlegg 4.

      2.3 Hjelp til tilrettelegging av standarder i tjenesten

      Dersom det ønskes kan Standard Online ved oppstart tilrettelegge standarder i tjenesten, eventuelt også gjennomgå lister over tidligere kjøpte standarder for å tilrettelegge disse i tjenesten for kjøper. Dette avtales særskilt og prises etter avtale basert på den til en hver tid gjeldende timepriser.

      2.4 Merverdiavgift

      Alle priser er oppgitt ekskl. mva.

      Standardsamlinger er ferdig sammensatte utvalg av viktige standarder innenfor spesifikke emner.

      3.2.1 Utskrifter

      Rabatterte utskrifter kan kjøpes av lærere, administrativt personell og studenter/elever gjennom vår nettbutikk ved bruk av en rabattkode. Rabatten er 70 % av listepris dersom standarden skrives ut fra nettbutikken. Dersom det ønskes trykket og innbundet eksemplar sendt i posten, er rabatten 50 %. Gjelder kun Norsk Standard.

      3.2.2 Offlineløsning

      Løsningen gir mulighet for lesetilgang til standardene i samlingen i abonnementet uten å være tilkoblet internett. Standardene i samlingen kan lagres lokalt hos den enkelte bruker. Filen termineres etter 30 dager for å sikre bruk av oppdaterte og gyldige standarder. Standarden i samlingen kan så lastes ned på nytt ved behov. Prisen på denne tjenesten er 10 % av den årlige abonnementsprisen. Velger Kjøper tjenesten Offlineløsning i tillegg til abonnement på web vil det fremkomme i vedlegg 4 med pris.

      3.2.3 Direktelenker

      Kjøper kan abonnere på lenker til standarder i samlingen i sitt abonnement som kan brukes i Kjøpers interne dokumenter. Lenker som legges i slike dokumenter vil bringe brukerne direkte til standarden. Lenkene er statiske og egner seg i dokumenter som skal vise til en bestemt standard også for ettertiden. Velger Kjøper tjenesten Direktelenker i tillegg til abonnement på web vil det fremkomme i vedlegg 4 med pris.

      Skal man lenke til den til en hver tid gyldige standard må man enten oppdatere lenker i interne dokumenter hver gang det kommer en revisjon eller bruke dynamiske lenker. Dynamiske lenker kan vi utvikle på forespørsel etter gjeldende timepris.

      3.2.4 Abonnementspris for samlinger

      Prisen på standardsamlinger generelt er dynamisk, dvs. at prisen endres når innholdet i samlingen endres. Abonnementspriser vil i avtaleåret baseres på gjeldende listepris for samlingen ved kjøp. Prisen baseres på antall samtidige brukere og forutsetter en avtaleperiode på 2 år etter avtaleinngåelsesåret. Påfølgende år beregnes prisen basert på gjeldende listepris for samlingen per 1. januar.

      For NS 3420 samlingene betales en inngangspris basert på antall samtidige brukere og omfanget av samlingen. Påfølgende år betales en fast, årlig vedlikeholdspris.
      Årlig abonnementspris for denne avtalen er spesifisert i vedlegg 4.

      3.2.5 Prising av utgåtte samlinger i abonnement

      Standarder som inngår i samlingen kan abonneres på separat, men samlingen som sådan kan ikke abonneres på som tilbaketrukket. For betingelser, se Priser og betingelser for abonnement på web, vedlegg 3.1.

    • Avtaler om abonnement på web for kommuner

      Avtale om bruk av elektroniske blanketter levert gjennom Standard Online AS

      1. Avtaleparter

      XXX Kommune (Kommunen)
      Standard Online AS (heretter SO)

      2. Avtalens formål

      Tilgjengeliggjøre de til enhver tid gjeldende plan- og bygningsblanketter gjennom kommunen til fri bruk av kommunens innbyggere eller privatpersoner som eier eiendom i kommunen.

      3. Avtalens omfang

      Avtalen omfatter SO e-blankett modul for enkelt utfylling av e-blanketter.  Avtalen omfatter blanketter i henhold til vedlegg 1. Blankettene er ment brukt av innbyggere og andre privatpersoner, og ikke av profesjonelle aktører i byggenæringen.

      4. Pris

      Kommunen skal betale vederlag i henhold til priser i vedlegg 2.

      5. Avtalens varighet, oppsigelse og oppfølging

      Avtalen gjelder fra xx 2010 til 31. desember 2011. Avtalen vil deretter bli automatisk fornyet hvis den ikke sies opp med 2 måneders varsel eller senest innen 31. oktober i avtaleåret. 

      6. Avtalepartenes retter og plikter

      6.1. Kommunen

      • Skal betale i henhold til bestemmelsene i pkt. 4 og avtalt pris, se vedlegg 2. ◦Teksten på løsningens forside skal ligge der uforandret, evt. tillegg eller endringer må avklares med SO.
      • Kommunen skal selv yte support ovenfor sine innbyggere/brukere av løsningen.

      6.2. SO

      • SO gjør blankettene tilgjengelig gjennom en elektronisk løsning tilrettelagt av SO i henhold til løsningsbeskrivelsen i vedlegg 3.
      • SO skal yte support til Kommunen ved kontaktperson navngitt i vedlegg 4.

      7. Ansvarsbegrensing

      SO er ikke ansvarlig for blankettenes innhold. Spørsmål om innhold rettets til Blankettkomiteen i regi av Standard Norge fra Kommunen, ikke fra kommunens innbyggere/brukere av løsningen.

      Kommunen er inneforstått med og aksepterer at de forpliktelser som SO og/eller opphavsrettsinnehaveren har når det gjelder e-blankett modulen med innhold og funksjoner (heretter kalt Produktet), reguleres av denne avtale, og at Produktet kun kan brukes i henhold til de bestemmelser avtalen setter.

      Brukerne av e-blankettene er selv ansvarlig for konsekvensene av anvendelsen av Produktet, det være seg enten denne anvendelsen skjer i samsvar med bestemmelsene i Avtalen eller ikke. Selv om SO og/eller Opphavsrettsinnehaveren har vært klar over risikoen for dette, har verken SO og/eller opphavsrettsinnehaveren ansvar for det være seg indirekte skader og kostnader eller for direkte skader som firmaet, de ansatte, agenter eller tredje person kan komme til å berøres av.

      8. Mislighold

      Ved vesentlige mislighold i henhold til avtalens pkt. 6.1 vil SO kunne heve avtalen med øyeblikkelig virkning og kreve erstattet eventuelt faktisk tap misligholdet har påført SO.

      9. Konfidensialitet

      Konkurranserelatert informasjon som partene får tilgang til som følge av samarbeidet, skal behandles konfidensielt. Ved tvil om tilgjengelig informasjon bør behandles konfidensielt, skal den andre part konsulteres for avklaring.

      10. Overdragelse

      Rettigheter eller forpliktelser etter avtalen kan ikke overdras eller på noen måte overføres til andre uten skriftlig samtykke fra SO.

      11. Tvister

      Partene vedtar Asker og Bærum tingsrett som verneting ved tvister som måtte oppstå vedrørende avtalen.

      1. Definisjoner og generelle avtalevilkår


      1.1 Definisjoner

      Lisensierte produkter omfatter produkter definert i kapittel 3.

      Abonnement på web er en tjeneste som tilrettelegges hos Standard Online og som gir elektronisk tilgang til de lisensierte produktene Kjøper ønsker tilgang til. Kjøper kan deretter logge seg på nettsiden www.standard.no med brukernavn og passord. Etter innlogging får Kjøper tilgang til abonnementet fra fanen “abonnement” i toppmenyen.

      Opphavsrett innebærer enerett til å “råde over åndsverket ved å fremstille eksemplar av det og ved å gjøre det tilgjengelig for allmennheten, i opprinnelig eller endret skikkelse, i oversettelse eller bearbeidelse, i annen litteratur- eller kunstart eller i annen teknikk” – som det heter i åndsverkloven §2. Standarder er litterære verk som er opphavsrettslig beskyttet i henhold til Lov om opphavsrett til åndsverk mv (åndsverkloven) av 1961-05-12. Se Lovdata. Standard Norge fastsetter Norsk Standard og Standard Online forvalter rettighetene både på opphavsmanns- og utgiversiden. Når du kjøper en standard kjøper du et eksemplar av den, men du kjøper ikke rett til å kopiere den opp til kollegaer eller samarbeidspartnere. Trenger du flere eksemplarer må de kjøpes.

      DRM (Digital Rights Management). Produkter som er lagret på eller distribuert via digitale medier er tilrettelagt med DRM. Dette for å administrere tilgangen til de opphavsrettsbeskyttede produktene og fordi DRM sikrer tilgang til det til en hver tid gyldige produkt. Det vil si at det legges begrensninger på lagring, kopiering av innhold og utskrift. Kjøper kan ikke lagre, videresende dokumentet eller kopiere innhold av et lisensiert produkt. For mer informasjon, se gjeldende «Sluttbrukerlisens» og «Tekniske spesifikasjoner».

      Beregning av tilgjengelighet. Tilgjengelighet = (Måleperiode – Nedetid x 100) / Måleperiode

      Måleperiode er 3 måneder (kvartalsvis)

      Nedetid er den tiden tjenesten ikke er tilgjengelig for Kjøper.

      1.2 Leveransen omfang

      Avtalen omfatter tilrettelegging og vedlikehold av lisensierte produkter definert i kapittel 3.
      Produktene er merket med beskyttet varemerke i henhold til Lov av 26. mars 2010 om beskyttelse av varemerker, og er vernet etter Lov av 12. mai 1961 om opphavsrett til åndsverk.
      Produktene som er lagret på eller distribuert via digitale medier er tilrettelagt med DRM. De til en hver tid gyldige priser og betingelser finnes oppdatert på www.standard.no/priserogbetingelser

      1.3 Standard Onlines ytelser og plikter

      Avtalen gir Kjøper rett til å benytte de lisensierte produktene definert i kapittel 3.

      Det gis tilgang til produktene via Kjøpers abonnementsside på www.standard.no. Tilgang til produktene vil skje ved brukernavn og passord. Standard Online skal sørge for at tjenesten er tilgjengelig for kunden minimum 97 % av tiden mellom klokken 0800 og 1600 på virkedager. Tjenesten vil normalt være tilgjengelig for Kjøper også i tiden 1600 til 0800, i helgene og på offentlige høytidsdager, men manglende tilgjengelighet anses ikke som avtalebrudd fra Standard Onlines side.

      Faller tjenesten ut mellom 0800 og 1600 på virkedager betegnes dette som ukontrollert nedetid. Dersom ukontrollert nedetid i løpet av måleperioden overstiger 3 % har Kjøper krav på et forholdsmessig prisavslag på tjenesten. Slike krav må fremsettes samtidig med reklamasjonen, jmf. avtalens kapittel 1.4. Utover dette fraskriver Standard Online seg ethvert ansvar for ukontrollert nedetid.

      Kontrollert nedetid vil forekomme. Fortrinnsvis vil dette skje lørdager og søndager. Kontrollert nedetid kan imidlertid også forkomme mellom 1600 og 0800 alle dager. Kontrollert nedetid vil ikke tas med i beregningsgrunnlaget av tilgjengelighet. Kontrollert nedetid er den perioden Standard Online kan utføre planlagt vedlikehold og oppgradering. Dette kan medføre midlertidig redusert funksjonalitet for Kjøper, eventuelt at tjenesten gjøres utilgjengelig. Ved kontrollert nedetid vil Kjøper bli varslet senest 48 timer før vedlikeholdet/oppgraderingen av tjenesten gjennomføres.

      1.4 Reklamasjon

      Hvis Kjøper vil påberope seg mislighold må Kjøper uten ugrunnet opphold reklamere skriftlig og senest umiddelbart etter måleperiodens utløp.

      1.5 Kjøpers plikter

      Kjøpers bruk av produktene begrenses til bedriftens egen interne virksomhet og ansatte. Enhver ekstern distribusjon er ikke tillatt.

      Kjøper er kjent med at tjenesten kan ha innebygget tekniske sperrer eller sikkerhetssystemer for å lette Kjøpers oppfyllelse av avtalen, men at det likevel stilles særstilte krav til Kjøper for å forhindre misbruk, herunder uautorisert spredning, brudd på det opphavsrettslige beskyttelsesvern, feil antall samtidige brukere mv.

      Brudd på disse plikter fra Kjøpers side anses som vesentlig mislighold som gir Standard Online rett til å heve kontrakten og til å kreve erstatning i forhold til verdien på tapt salg. Det samme gjelder ved betalingsmislighold. Standard Online kan stenge Kjøpers abonnementstilgang ved betalingsmislighold, normalt etter 1. gangs påminnelse eller når Kjøper til tross for skriftlig påtale benytter tjenesten på en måte som medfører skade eller ulempe for Standard Online eller tredjepart for eksempel ved å benytte tjenesten i strid med loven eller bestemmelser i denne avtalen.

      Det vil ikke bli fratrekk på faktura for den perioden tjenesten er avstengt. Tjenesten vil bli gjenåpnet når faktura og evt. omkostninger er betalt.

      1.6 Vederlag

      Totalt vederlag, det vil si avtalt pris for denne avtalen på avtaleinngåelsestidspunktet, finnes i
      kapittel 3.

      1.7 Prisregulering

      Vi tar forbehold om prisregulering, som normalt vil forekomme i begynnelsen av hvert kalenderår. 

      1.8 Fakturering, forfall og morarenter

      Første fakturering foretas umiddelbart etter avtaleinngåelse og gjelder ut avtaleåret som er identisk med kalenderåret. Senere fakturering foretas årlig, normalt i 1. tertial, og gjelder ut avtaleåret.

      Standard betalingsbetingelser er 20 dager. Ved forsinket betaling påløper renter i samsvar med lov om forsinkelsesrenter. Dersom purring må foretas påløper det purregebyr.

      1.9 Konfidensialitet

      Konkurranserelatert informasjon som partene får tilgang til som følge av samarbeid skal behandles konfidensielt. Ved tvil om hvorvidt tilgjengelig informasjon bør behandles konfidensielt eller ikke, skal den andre part konsulteres for avklaring.

      1.10 Overdragelse

      Rettigheter eller forpliktelser som følger av denne avtale kan ikke overdras eller på noen måte overføres til andre uten skriftlig samtykke fra Standard Online.

      1.11 Avtalens varighet

      Avtalen gjelder ut avtaleåret, som er identisk med kalenderåret. Avtalen forlenges deretter automatisk for 1 år av gangen med mindre ingen av partene sier den opp innen 31. oktober i avtaleåret. Dersom avtalen inngås etter 1. november, vil Kjøper ha anledning til å si opp avtalen før 31. desember samme år.

      1.12 Konflikter

      Tvist om innholdet eller gjennomføringen av avtalen skal forsøkes løst ved forhandlinger. Fører ikke forhandlingene frem kan hver av partene kreve saken avgjort ved ordinær rettergang med mindre partene blir enige om å la tvisten avgjøres ved voldgift. Avtalt verneting er Asker & Bærum tingrett.

      Produktspesifikke betingelser

      Denne avtalen gjelder kun produkter definert i kapittel 3. Ønskes andre produkter lagt inn i løsningen, må Standard Online kontaktes for opprettelse av ny abonnementsavtale.

      2.1 Utskrifter

      Det gis ikke mulighet til utskrifter i denne avtalen. Ønskes utskrifter må ordinær «Avtale om abonnement på web» inngås.

      3. Lisensierte produkter og vederlag

      3.1 Totalt årlig vederlag

      Det totale årlige vederlaget for Tjenesten inkl. lisensierte produkter er oppsummert i kapittel 3.2.

      Alle priser er oppgitt i NOK ekskl. mva.

    • Abonnementavtale for skoler

      Det er enkelt å bruke standarder i undervisningen. Standard Online tilbyr abonnement på web for skoler og undervisningsinstitusjoner som inkluderer tilgang til standarder for lærere og administrativt personell, samt gode løsninger og rabatter for elever og studenter.

      Det tilbys følgende abonnementer:

      1. Undervisningsabonnement
      Abonnementet har minimum 30 samtidige brukere og inkluderer bruk for både lærere, administrativt personell og studenter/elever. Skolen kan bruke abonnementet i undervisningen ved at hver student kan hente opp standarder fra bærbar eller stasjonær PC gjennom skolens LAN/WLAN eller alternativt gjennom skolens ip-område. Utskrifter er ikke inkludert.
       
      2. Lærerabonnement
      Abonnementet har minimum en 1-3 brukerlisens. Skolens ansatte gis tilgang til standardene og 3 personer kan ha tilgang samtidig. Læreren kan vise frem standardene via PC og projektor i timen. Utskrifter er ikke inkludert.

      Store rabatter for kjøp av utskrifter gjennom vår nettbutikk

      Rabatterte utskrifter kan kjøpes av lærere, administrativt personell og studenter/elever gjennom vår nettbutikk, ved bruk av en rabattkode. Det ytes følgende rabatter:

      • 70 % skolerabatt av listeprisen hvis kjøper skriver ut standarden selv.
      • 50 % skolerabatt av listepris for ferdig utskrevet og innbundet standard (gjelder kun Norsk Standard).

      Abonnementspris

      Prisen på abonnementet vil avhenge av antall samtidige brukere og antall standarder man ønsker å ha i abonnementet, og derved av pensumslisten til det enkelte studium.

      Klassesett

      Noen skoler/undervisningsinstitusjoner ønsker standarder som klassesett i papirform. Det ytes da følgende rabatter:

      • 50 % rabatt fra første eksemplar ved kjøp av Norsk Standard.
      • 50 % rabatt fra første eksemplar ved kjøp av Norsk Elektroteknisk norm.

      Kjøp av klassesett for skoler med abonnementsavtale

      I tillegg til skolerabatten ytes det følgende kvantumsrabatter:

      • 10 % kvantumsrabatt ved kjøp av 25-99 standarder i klassesett. Totalrabatt 60 %.
      • 15 % kvantumsrabatt ved kjøp av over 100 i klassesett. Totalrabatt 65 %.

      Formålet med abonnementsavtalen og enkel tilgang til sterkt rabatterte standarder er å tilgjengeliggjøre standarder for bruk i undervisingen for å fremme kunnskap om og bruk av standarder. Samtidig ønsker vi å sikre at studenter, lærere og administrativt personell ved studiestedene kjenner til at standardene er opphavsrettslig beskyttet og at kopiering er ulovlig.

      Et studentabonnement gir deg som student lesetilgang til NS, IEC, ISO og NEK standarder, som utgjør over 50 000 gyldige standarder.

      Studentabonnement koster kr 500,- inkl. mva. i året. Abonnementet gjelder fra 1. juli til 1. juli påfølgende år. Fra første januar reduseres prisen med 30 % for tilgang frem til 1. juli.

      Etter at man har kjøpt et abonnement søker du opp de standardene du trenger fra vårt sortiment i nettbutikken. Du kan også favorittmerker dine mest aktuelle standarder for enklere tilgang neste gang. OBS! Pass på å være innlogget.

      Avhengig av ditt behov i undervisningssituasjonen kan vi tilby to forskjellige abonnementer:

    • General information

      Copyright entails the exclusive right to "ownership of intellectual property by producing examples and bringing it into the public domain in original or modified form, in translation or in adaptation, in other literary or artistic form or in another technology", as defined in sect. 2 of the Copyright Act.


      Standards are literary works which are copyright protected in accordance with the Act on copyright of intellectual property etc. (Copyright Act) of 12.05.1961. See Lovdata.

      Standards Norway determines Norwegian Standards, and Standard Online administers the rights for copyright owner and publisher.

    • Use and reproduction

      When you want to reproduce something from a standard, you must contact Standard Online to request permission. This applies regardless of whether the entire standard is involved, or an excerpt, and whether it is a standard in force or a draft version and whether a Norwegian or international standard. It also applies regardless of whether text, tables or illustrations are involved. It covers all types of formats, such as copies taken on a photocopier, fax, printout, drawings, photography, scanning for an electronic document, "cut and paste" for an e-mail, database format, translation or adaptation.

      A standard is a recommended document, not a law. Acts, regulations, court rulings and other resolutions from a public authority carry no authority in accordance with sect. 9 of the Copyright Act. References are made to standards in various regulations, but as long as the standard's text is not reproduced directly in the regulation, the standard is a standalone publication protected by copyright.

      When you buy a standard, you buy a copy of it, but you do not buy the right to make further copies for colleagues or associates. If you need more copies, you must buy them or register the correct number of concurrent users for electronic access to the standard.

      This is the principal rule applied, but there are exceptions. Perhaps the most important exception applies to private use, which entails you being able to take copies for use in private only. Most standards are however used in a professional context, in which case private use will entail you being able to take a copy of an excerpt from a standard to read at home, for instance, to prepare for a meeting the day after. But this does not mean you can hand out copies to your colleagues or associates at the meeting.

      Sect. 22 of the Copyright Act states that "It is permitted to quote from a published work in accordance with best practice and to the extent the purpose calls for it". A quotation will normally comprise a minor part of a work, e.g. a sentence or two, or a paragraph. Where a standard is concerned, this may involve a formula, the sequence to be followed in a procedure or a table of contents. Quoting an entire standard is not in line with best practice!

      Translation and adaptation imply that a standard takes on another form. Entering new text between excerpts from a standard cannot be classed as a minor reproduction, but it can be a question of whether the excerpts are so limited that they can be classed as quotations. If in doubt, please contact Standard Online. Remember that copies cannot replace purchase of the original work.

    • Copyright and committee members

      Where committee work is concerned, individual committee members transfer copyright to their contribution to standardisation to the relevant standardisation ¬organisation (e.g. Standards Norway, ISO, IEC, CEN, CENELEC etc.) Such organisations transfer user rights to their national representatives, e.g. Standards Norway. This means that even if you or your company have made an active contribution to standardisation, you are still not entitled to copy and distribute standards or drafts.

    • Copyright Agreement

      Our aim is to ensure that users know how to use standards. e.g. through requirements for goods and services, specification for buying and selling, rules for testing, certification, accreditation or through descriptions as the basis for compliance with national legislation and regulations. Production of standards is financed via selling them. Copying without permission undermines production of standards you and others could have made use of at a later date. Copying without permission is punishable by fines, prison and confiscation according to the Copyright Act.

      It is not difficult to comply with the rules of the Copyright Act, but it does require remembering to ask for permission to use the property of others. The rules for exclusive rights to copyright are the same, regardless whether a standard, a guide or some other form of technical text is involved.

      If you need to be able to reproduce a text, table or other excerpt from a standard, e.g. in a binder, course folder, brochure or web site, please contact Standard Online to purchase a permit. An alternative to reproduction, e.g. for a course, can be the purchase of several copies of the standard. Standard Online offers a bulk discount to training professionals.

      If you search for a withdrawn standard and get zero results, you must check the "Include withdrawn standards" box:

    • Manage subscription

      In this user guide we will go through the various features available for the administrator of a web subscription.

      1Go to your subscription

      To go to your subscription, click on the blue "Subscription" tab:

      The administrator menu can be found in the top right hand corner when you are inside your subscription:

       

      3Company settings

      Under company settings you have the following options:

      You choose whether all users need to log in with a username and password. 

      You can set up a «user template» so that new users automatically are given the settings you have determined. 

      You can turn on the “Send shopping cart” feature to enable users without purchasing privileges to send a shopping cart to you or other administrators.  

       

      4Edit categories

      The «Edit categories» menu makes it possible for you to organize the standards in categories of your own choice.

      Enter the name of your category and click «Add»:

       

       

      Next, search for the standards you wish to categorize, and click «Edit»: 

       

       

      Finally, choose a category and contact person (both must be selected) and click on the «Save» button:

       

      5Edit messages

      The «Edit message» section makes it possible to create important messages for the users of the subscription:

       

       

      Remember to check the box titled «Show this message to your company’s users»

      6Invoices

      «My invoices» gives you an overview of the invoices sent to your customer number:

       

       

      Note! Some customers have an invoice reception system with its own customer number. If this is the case, “My invoices” will only display invoices belonging to the customer number of the invoice reception.

      7Manage users

      In this section you can set the access level of users, register new users, edit users and assign roles:

       

      8Register new user

      New user registration includes first name, middle name (if applicable), family name and email address.

       

       

      Webshop access indicates which access level a user should have. When registering a new user, you can choose from the following roles:

      Single purchase
      The user can access standards in the subscription, but cannot add new standards. He or she can purchase standards separate from the subscription. The company will be billed for these purchases.

      No purchasing privileges
      The user can read the standards in the subscription only. 

      Administrator
      The user is given full administrator privileges.  

      Note! If the user is to be allowed to print a standard, you must check the «Allow print» box. 

      As a subscription administrator you must allow/limit access to the eForms service, if eForms is part of your company’s subscription. 

       


      In the "scope" menu you have two options:

      All
      You can choose for the user to have access to «All» forms. This means the user can read/edit all forms – including those created by other users.

      Personal
      If you choose for the user to have access to «personal» forms, he or she will only be able to access forms he or she has created. 

      9Number of hits per page

      The «Number of hits per page» menu enables you to choose how many hits are displayed on the search result page. The options are 10, 20 and 50:

      10Sent shopping carts

      This menu gives you an overview of the shopping carts that users in your subscription have submitted. You can edit, delete or approve the submitted shopping cart:

       

      11Show number of printouts

      The «Show number of printouts» menu displays the number of printouts left per standard, and gives you the option to buy more copies.

      We recommend you check this section regularly to ensure that the users always have sufficent prinouts available.

       

      12Show status on eForms

      The «Show status on eForms» menu displays the forms that have less than 10 copies left. You can add extra copies here – the minimum being 10.

       

       

      For an overview of your eForms, go to the “Subscriptions” tab, then click on "eForms"  and "Available".

       

       

      Click on "Status" to show valid eForms. You can also buy new forms from this menu should you not have any left. 

       

      13Statistics

      The «Statistics» section provides you with information about the use of the subscription.  

      Logins gives you an overview of which IP addresses have been logged in at any one time. 

      Downloads shows which standards have been used in your subscription, from high to low.

       

       

      Note! Make sure the «Collecting statistics» box is always checked. Otherwise you will lose all gathered statistics.  

      By clicking on «Details» you can see which IP addresses that have logged in to the subscription with “Success” or “Wrong IP”:

      Did you know that we offer additional services to make your subscription even more customized to suit your needs?

      With a web subscription at standard.no you get easy access to the content of the standards you subscribe to. You are also guaranteed to always have the latest edition of both standards and other products in your subscription. By ordering one or more of the additional services explained below, you can customize your subscription to best fit your needs.

      Offline service: Get access to the standards you need even when you are not online
      Do you need to have access to one or more of your standards without being connected to the internet? When you use our “offline service”, you simply download copies of the standards you need to your own computer.

      You will have access to these standards for 30 days. Standards download to your computer are terminated after 30 days as a safety precaution for you. This way you never risk using a withdrawn standard. The standards can be downloaded again after 30 days. 

      A regular web subscription at standard.no gives you access to the standards in your subscription as long as your computer is connected to the internet. The offline service gives you even greater freedom in order to fit your needs.

       

      Direct links to the standards in your subscription – easy and efficient!
      Do you often refer to standards in company documents? If so, direct links to relevant standards in your subscription would be a great option for you.

      A direct link is a static link to a standard in your web subscription that makes it possible for you to open a standard directly from your document.

      Direct linking is set up and used within a particular IP-address (static). This makes it possible for all users connected to that particular IP-address to be logged in directly to your subscription, giving them access to the standard that is referred to in the document.

       

      URL-login: Allow direct access to your subscription from your company intranet
      With the URL-login everyone in your company can access your subscription without having to log in to the service each time. You will be given your own URL to place on your intranet.

      The URL-login is of great benefit to companies with several simultaneous users who do not need to have their own username and password.

      The service is a part of your subscription agreement, and we will help you set it up. The URL-login is dependent on the use of a static IP address.

    • General information about paper subscription

      The Paper subscription service automatically sends you the all new standards within your field of interest, on paper. With this service you can be sure to receive all new editions of the standards you need as soon as they are available. By logging in to your company's subscription site, called "My page" in the webshop, you will always have a complete overview of your subscriptions and purchase details.

      How to get access to the service:

      When registering to use this service the company's organization number must be provided, as well as which members of staff that will access the service. Username = email address, and cannot be chosen. Password is chosen by the users, and an email is sent to them confirming their username. When logging in the user will get access to "My Page" in the top menu. From "My Page" the user will get access to the subscription which gives a complete overview of which standards the company subscribes to.

      Which standards are available?

      Norwegian Standards, ISO- and IEC-standards can be subscribed to. Requests to add other documents to the company's subscription can be accomodated for by individual agreement between the company and Pronorm. The company chooses standards to subscribe to by simply accessing the service and picking standards of interest, whether it is single standards or groups of standards.

      International Classification for Standards (ICS) is a classification system of individual standards into subject-based groups. ICS makes it easy to find the standards you are looking for, and compare the standards of different countries. The classification consists of three levels, and you can subscribe to any one of those levels, giving you access to all the standards included in that particular group. All that is required of you is to decide which groups of standard are relevant to your company. Our sales consultants are ready to assist you with this.

      Delivery of standards

      When subscribing to a standard on paper, the particular standard will be printed and mailed to you as soon as it is available.Standards are copyright protected and cannot be copied. In the case of PDF delivery, the standard cannot be stored locally on a PC, or forwarded to others.

      How much does the service cost?

      There is a yearly price for registering to and maintenance of the service. Other than this, you pay only for the standards you receive. The service runs until it is cancelled in writing.

      The prices of individual standards and other documents you wish to add to your subsciption, are available in the webshop. When you are logged in to the webshop, the prices quoted are calculated taking your companies' discounts into account. Prices are quoted ex. VAT.

      The web subscription agreement consists of several appendices that contain information and conditions for the various services and products the agreement may include.

      Even though all available services and products are not included in the contract at the time of signing, The Buyer can expand the content of the subscription during the contract period, and is responsible for familiarising themselves with the terms and conditions, functionality and user rights. When the products are entered into the subscription, it is deemed that the terms and conditions have been accepted.

    • Appendix 1: Definitions and General Contract Terms and Conditions

      1.1 Definitions

      Licensed products can include Standards, eBook, eForms, Standards Collections and other products from various suppliers that the Buyer has included in their Web Subscription at any time.

      Licensing period (for licenced products): The remainder of the calendar year in which the product was purchased + the two following calendar years.

      Agreement period (for Web subscription): The remainder of the calendar year in which the agreement was entered into + the two following calendar years.

      Web Subscription is a Service facilitated at Standard Online providing electronic access to the licensed products.

      Copyright shall confer the exclusive right to “dispose of a literary, scientific or artistic work by producing permanent or temporary copies thereof and by making it available to the public, be it in the original or an altered form, in translation or adaptation, in another literary or artistic form, or by other technical means” – as stated in the Copyright Act §2. Standards are literary works that are copyright protected pursuant to the Act of 12 May 1961 on Copyright in Literary, Scientific and Artistic Works and following (The Copyright Act). Standards Norway adopts Norsk Standard, and Standard Online administrates the rights for both the author and publisher. When you buy a standard, you buy a copy of the standard; however, you do not buy the right to copy it to colleagues or cooperation partners. If you need more copies, these must be purchased.  

      DRM (Digital Rights Management) Products that are stored on or distributed via digital media are facilitated using DRM.

      Calculation of Availability Availability = (Measurement period – Downtime x 100)/Measurement period.

      Measurement period is 3 months (quarterly).

      Downtime is the time during which the Service is not available for the Buyer.

      Simultaneous users The number of users who can be logged on to the Service at the same time.

      Location A physical address where the service is to be available.

      1.2 Scope of Delivery

      The Contract covers facilitation and maintenance of licensed products in Web Subscription under the limitations and terms and conditions specified below.

      At the time when the Contract is signed, the Buyer states the number of employees in the company who are to be able to use the Service at the same time (simultaneous users). If the Service is to be used by several locations within a Group, there must be at least one user per location and at least one location per country.

      The products are labelled with a protected trademark in accordance with the Act of 26. March 2010 on Trademarks, and copyright-protected in accordance with the Act of 12 May 1961 on Copyright of Intellectual Property.

      Products that are stored on or distributed via digital media can be facilitated using DRM. The Buyer can expand the content of the subscription on their own. When new products are added to the subscription, it is deemed that Standard Online’s current terms and conditions have been accepted.

      The Buyer is responsible for familiarising themselves with Standard Online’s current terms and conditions. Current prices, terms and conditions are available at www.standard.no/pricesandconditions.

      1.3 Standard Online Services and Obligations

      Products are made accessible via the Buyer’s subscription page on www.standard.no. If the Buyer wishes to subscribe to withdrawn products, this must be agreed upon separately.

      Standard Online undertakes to ensure that the Service is available for the Customer at least 97% of the time. 

      If non-scheduled downtime exceeds 3% of a measurement period, the Buyer is entitled to a proportional reduction of the price of the Service. Such claims must be submitted with warranty claims, cf. Contract Section 1.4. Calculation of the price reduction will be based on the operating service’s percentage of the quarterly price. Other than this, Standard Online waives all responsibility for non-scheduled downtime.

      Scheduled downtime will occur. This will preferably take place on Saturdays and Sundays. Scheduled downtime can however also take place between 16:00 and 08:00 on all days. Scheduled downtime will not be included when calculating availability. Scheduled downtime is the period during which Standard Online conducts planned maintenance and upgrades. In the event of scheduled downtime, the Buyer will be notified no later than 48 hours prior to starting maintenance/upgrade of the Service.

      1.4 Claims

      If the Buyer wishes to declare breach of contract, the Buyer must without undue delay submit a claim in writing and no later than immediately after the end of the measurement period.

      1.5 Buyer’s Obligations

      The Buyer’s use of the products is restricted to the company’s own internal operations and employees, including the company’s divisions and division offices. Any form of external distribution is not permitted. After commencement of the Service, the Buyer can add new products to the Service via Standard Online’s webshop (www.standard.no) in accordance with the current terms and conditions; refer to www.standard.no/pricesandconditions.

      Breach of these obligations by the Buyer is deemed to be a material breach which entitles Standard Online to rescind the Contract and to claim compensation proportional to the value of the lost sales. The same applies in the event of material payment default. Standard Online can shut down the Buyer’s subscription access in the event of non-payment, or if the Buyer in spite of written warning continues to use the Service in a manner that results in damage or inconvenience to Standard Online or a third party; for example by using the Service in breach of the law or provisions of this Contract.

      The period that the Service is shutdown will not be deducted from the invoice. Standard Online may also require payment from the Buyer for the remainder of the licensing period of any licenced products and related services.

      1.6 Price

      The total price, i.e. the price agreed for this Contract at the time of signing the Contract, is presented in Appendix 4. 

      1.7 Price Regulation

      Standard Online reserves the right to adjust prices as a result of normal price rise for standards and/or adjustments to the catalogue price. This will normally take place at the beginning of each calendar year.  Adjustment of catalogue prices is based on the increase in the consumer price index, or an increase in our suppliers’ price. Substantial changes in content or structure of a standard can also necessitate changes in the catalogue price. Changes to the Contract basis such as in increase in the number of simultaneous users or an increase in the number of licensed products during a Contract period will affect the total price.

      1.8 Invoicing, Due Date and Interest on Late Payment

      The first invoice is sent immediately after signing the contract, and covers up to the end of that Contract year, which is identical to the calendar year. Subsequent invoicing takes place annually, normally in the first four-month period and covers up to end of that Contract year.

      If new licensed products or new simultaneous users are added during the Contract year, a supplementary invoice will be sent immediately for the additional cost and covers up to the end of that Contract year.

      Standard payment terms and conditions are 20 days. In the event of late payment, interest will accrue in accordance with the Act on Interest on Late Payments. If reminders are necessary, a reminder fee will be levied.

      1.9 Confidentiality

      Competition-related information with which the Parties become acquainted as a result of this cooperation shall be treated as confidential. Any doubt as to whether the available information should be treated as confidential shall be clarified in consultation with the other Party.

      1.10 Transfer

      Rights or obligations arising from this Contract cannot be assigned or in other way transferred to another Party without the written permission of Standard Online.

      1.11 Duration of the Contract

      The Contract is valid for two (2) years in addition to the year in which the Contract is signed. (see 1.1 Definitions).Thereafter the Contract is automatically renewed for one (1) year at a time unless one of the Parties terminates the Contract no later than 31. October in the last Contract year.

      Products that, at termination of the Contract, have been included in the service for a shorter period of time than the licensing period can be invoiced for the remainder of the licensing period based on the scope of the Contract at the time of termination.

      Products that, at the time they are removed from the subscription, have been included in the service for a shorter period of time than the licensing period can be invoiced for the remainder of the licensing period based on the scope of the Contract at the time the product is removed from the subscription. Standard Online must be informed of the changes no later than 31. October in the contract year.

      Special conditions regarding the duration of the contract and products in the service supplied by specific subcontractors are regulated in their own appendices where such appendices are present.  

      1.12 Disputes

      Dispute about the content or performance of the Contract shall be endeavoured resolved through negotiations. If negotiations do not resolve the issue, either of the Parties can demand that the case be decided by an ordinary court of law unless the Parties agree that the dispute is to be settled by arbitration. The agreed legal venue is Oslo District Court.

    • Appendix 2 – The Web Subscription Service

      This appendix was last updated 2016-03-13

      This Service ensures that updated and valid products are always available via the customer’s login at www.standard.no. It also enables the option for subscription to withdrawn standards as required. 

      2.1 Establishing and Annual Price for Technical Maintenance/Support of the Web Subscription 

      The price is based on a combination of the number of simultaneous users and the number of licensed products included in the Service. The price at the time when this Contract was entered into, is presented in Appendix 4. 

      2.2 Total Annual Price

      The total annual price for the Service including licensed products at the time when this Contract was entered into, is summarised in Appendix 4. 

      2.3 Consultation services 

      If required, Standard Online can be of assistance in putting together the Buyer’s portfolio of standards or assist the Buyer in other ways. This is agreed upon and priced separately.

      2.4 Value Added Tax

      All prices are stated excluding VAT.

    • Appendix 3.1 Terms and Conditions for the Subscription to Standards

      A Subscription to Standards entitles the Buyer to compile their own collection from the standards that are electronically available in our webshop on www.standard.no.   

      3.1.1 Price calculation of standards in a subscription

      The Buyer can add new standards to the Web Subscription service at any time. Calculation of the licensing price for standards facilitated in the Service is based on ISO rules (Rules for granting copyright exploitation rights for internal use of ISO standards in electronic format) which assume that it runs for at least three (3) years. In the year in which the contract is signed or new standards are added to an existing subscription, the remainder of the year is invoiced in whole quarters, including the commenced quarter, based on the annual licensing price.

      3.1.2 Calculation of licensing price

      The licensing price is based on the current catalogue price for the standards. The licensing price is calculated using the following elements:

      • The number of standards per goods category included in the Service
      • The number of simultaneous users covered by the Contract 
      • The number of locations covered by the Contract 
      • The total catalogue price for the standards that are included

      L = Licensing price

      PHC = Total of the current catalogue price for the standards included in the Service

      D = Volume discount: % (Table 1 and definition of goods categories)

      M= Multiplier: (Table 2)

      The annual licensing price is calculated as follows:

      L=PHC X (1 - D) % X M X 0.45*

      * 0.45 = factor for distribution of cost over the lifetime of the standard

      3.1.3 Pricing of withdrawn standards in the Subscription 

      Standards that are withdrawn during a Contract year will be available at no extra cost until 31 December that year. If the Buyer chooses to continue the subscription for the withdrawn standards, the price for the following Contract year will be discounted by 50%. If the Buyer chooses to subscribe to withdrawn standards other than those previously subscribed to in the Subscription, the price will be discounted by 50%.

      3.1.4 Volume discount

      The discount is calculated per goods category based on the average price and the number of standards in each category as of 01 January in the invoicing year. Standards that are added to the Subscription during the year will be discounted by a volume discount based on the number of standards in the category and the catalogue price at the time of invoicing. At the time of invoicing the following year, all standards in the subscription per 01 January in the invoicing year will be included in the total discount basis per goods category.

      3.1.6 Multiplier table

      This table indicates the multiplier used in the calculation, based on the number of simultaneous users.

      3.1.7 Support and annual maintenance

      An annual fee is paid for support and maintenance. The fee is calculated based on the number of simultaneous users and the number of standards included in the subscription.

      Price for support and annual maintenance at the time of signing the Contract refer to Appendix 4. If additional standards are added to the Service, the prices as listed in Table 3 on www.standard.no/pricesandconditions apply for support and maintenance. 

      3.1.8 Special price terms and conditions for goods categories from Thomson Reuters

      For goods from Thomson Reuters, the same terms and conditions as above apply, with the exception of:

      1. Goods categories with annual prices, i.e. where the prices must be obtained annually from the supplier.
      2. Goods categories with "Building Blocks". This means that access to 25 standards is bought in one block. The price is calculated as the average of the goods category list prices. When the block has been filled up, a new block with access to 25 standards must be bought.
    • Appendix 3.2 - Terms and Conditions for Subscription to Standards Collections and eBook

      Standards Collections are predefined collections of important standards within specific areas. 

      3.2.1 Subscription price for Standards Collections and eBook

      The price for Standards Collections and eBook is generally dynamic, i.e. the price changes when the content of the Collection changes. The price is based on the number of simultaneous users and presupposes a Contract period of two (2) years after the year of signing the Contract. For subsequent years, the price is calculated based on the current list price for the Standards Collection as of 01 January.

      The annual subscription price for this Contract is detailed in Appendix 4. 

      3.2.2 Pricing of withdrawn standards in the Subscription (does not apply to eBook)

      Standards that are included in the Standards Collection can be subscribed to separately, but the collection in its entirety cannot be subscribed to as withdrawn. 

    • Appendix 3.3 - Terms and Conditions for Subscription to eForms

      This appendix was last updated 2016-03-13

      eForms is a net-based solution for electronic form-filling and storage, and can be subscribed to as packs of 10, 25, 50, 100 and 500 per year. The subscription can be expanded with more forms as required. Changes made by the Buyer will be valid for the entire calendar year. When wishing to permanently change the number of forms available, the Buyer must contact Standard Online no later than 31 December of the current year.

      Completed forms can be saved as PDFs and stored in the Buyer’s own archive system. 

      3.3.1 Filling in forms and printout

      One form is used per Contract party. There are no restrictions on printouts of filled-in forms. 

      3.3.2 Updates

      If forms are withdrawn because they are to be replaced, any forms that have been started on will continue to be available, while the remaining withdrawn forms will be removed and replaced with new forms. New forms that are added will be available in the latest version. If a form is withdrawn without being replaced, any forms that have been started and any remaining forms will be available until they have been used so long as this is not in breach of any laws or regulations. 

      3.3.3 Subscription price for eForms

      You pay for the number of forms included in the eForms packs, regardless of when during the year they are added to the Web Subscription.

      The annual subscription price for this Contract at the time when this Contract was entered into is detailed in Appendix 4. 

       

       

    • Appendix 3.4 - Terms and Conditions for Subscription to goods categories from Thomson Reuters

      This appendix was last updated 2016-03-13

      In the event of inconsistency between this Appendix and this agreement generally, this Appendix shall take priority.

      For price calculations, terms and conditions, see Appendix 3.1

      If Standard Online's agreement with Thomson Reuters should be terminated, the Buyer will be notified as soon as possible, and no later than 30 days from termination. In such an instance, it will not be possible to update the subscription with new standards from Thomson Reuters, but existing products will be updated and maintained for up to 16 months after the Buyer receives the notification.

    • Appendix 3.5 – Supplementary services

      3.5.1 Offline Solution - applies to standards and standards collections

      This solution enables access to read the standards in the Standards Collection without being connected to the internet. The standards can be stored locally at the user's premises, but will become inaccessible after 30 days to ensure use of updated and valid standards. The standard can be downloaded again as required. The price for this service is 10% of the annual subscription price. If the Buyer chooses the Offline Solution in addition to the Web Subscription, this will be listed in Appendix 4 with the price at the time the contract was entered into. 

      3.5.2 Direct Links - applies to standards and standards collections

      The Buyer can subscribe to links to standards in the Subscription that can be used in the Buyer’s internal documents. Links that are inserted in such documents will take the user directly to the standard. The links are static and are suitable for documents that refer to a given standard that will also apply in the future. If the Buyer chooses the service Direct Links in addition to the Web Subscription, this will be listed in Appendix 4 with the price at the time the contract was entered into.

      If the link refers to a standard that must always be the latest updated version, the link must be updated in the internal documents at each new revision. This is the Buyer’s responsibility. 

      3.5.3 Printouts - applies to standards and standards collections

      It is possible to print one copy of each product per simultaneous user of the standards included in the Subscription. Printout of single pages, chapters, and similar of the product count as one printout. Additional products and printouts can be added to the collection in accordance with the conditions of this agreement. After the third subscription year, the subscription is updated with 1/3 of the printouts per year.

      If printouts are required in addition to those determined by the number of simultaneous users, these can be purchased with a 70% discount on the catalogue price.

      If a new version of a standard is added to the subscription in an update, the number of printouts available is also updated. 

      3.5.4 Project Module - applies to eForms

      The Project Module is a supplementary service in the eForm Service that enables forms to be linked to projects defined by you. This ensures a better overview of which forms have been used for which projects.

    • Appendix 4 – Total Price for the Contract, and the Contract Price for the Selected Product

      For Subscription to Standards, the first year’s price is based on the percentage of the year remaining when the subscription begins. The same calculation is also used if the Service is expanded with a number of standards or number of users during the course of the year. For Standards Collections and eBook, the prices are fixed regardless of when the Contract is signed during the year. For eForms, you pay for the number of forms in the packs regardless of when during the year they are added to the Web Subscription. All prices are stated excluding VAT.

      Appendix 4 will consist of the price of the contract at the time it is signed, depending on which products and services that are included at that particular time.

    • Appendix 5 – END USER LICENCE

      IMPORTANT – READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU USE OR COPY THE PRODUCTS MADE AVAILABLE THROUGH THIS LICENCE. USE OF THE PRODUCTS MEANS THAT YOU ACCEPT AND AGREE TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS END USER LICENCE AND ANY CONTRACT OF WHICH THIS IS AN APPENDIX. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS YOU CANNOT USE THE PRODUCT.

      1. Licence

      The End User Licence, together with any contract of which this is an appendix, forms the overall Sales and Delivery Terms and Conditions (The Contract). Conditional on payment of the agreed licence fees and compliance with the terms and conditions stated in this End User Licence and other sales and delivery terms and conditions (The Contract) Standard Online AS (”Standard Online”) provides a non-exclusive, non-transferable right of use to the product(s) (“The Product”) that is/are the subject of the Contract. Copyright to these products belongs to Standard Online or the license owner of the product in question.

      The following limitations apply to the User Right:

      a) The Contract does not entitle you to property right or other right to the Product but only to a limited right to use the Product in accordance with the provisions of the Contract. This User Right can be unilaterally withdrawn by Standard Online if you breach the terms and conditions of the Contract.

      b) All rights to copying products and making them accessible to the public are reserved, unless such access follows directly from the Intellectual Property Rights Act or special agreement with Standard Online.

      c) Unlawful use of the products will lead to liability to compensate and may be liable to prosecution.

      d) You have the right to use the content of the Product delivered under this Contract regardless of the format in which the Product is delivered, but you do not have the right to adapt, modify, translate, compile, hire out or lease out, publish, sell or sub-license or in any other way transfer the Product in part or in its entirety to a third party. Neither may you remove or change any information on intellectual or property rights that are on the Product, or remove the water mark that indicates who has the right to use the content of the product.

      e) If the Product is delivered in an electronic form or on an electronic platform, the product will be facilitated with Digital Rights Management (DRM). The right to store, copy the content and print out is limited. In principle, the Buyer cannot store or distribute the Product nor copy the content of a standard to text-processing systems, for example. Any exception to this is defined in the Contract Appendices that govern specific products, such as Appendix 3 to the Contract on Web Subscription, or in dedicated agreements on reproduction that must be drawn up specifically for the individual situation. 

      Digital Rights Management (DRM) is a collective term for various technologies the purpose of which is so manage access to copyright protected information stored on or distributed using digital media.

      In contrast to the purely legal restrictions that national and international copyright legislation imposes on those who have copies of copyright protected material, DRM makes it possible to impose the holder of the copy various additional restrictions using hardware and software codes that are controlled by the Holder of the copyright.

      Standard Online uses DRM in order to protect products from various suppliers against unauthorised distribution and secures access to valid, current standards. Standard Online uses software that manages these rights. For more information about this, refer to Appendix 6 for technical specifications.

      f) You agree to and accept that the Product belongs to the Holder of the copyright stated on the Product (“Copyright Holder”), and that the Product is protected by Norwegian and international copyright laws. You also agree to and accept that all copyright and other intellectual rights for the Product belong to the Copyright Holder.

      g) You are responsible for providing Standard Online, or the party authorised by Standard Online, with all the information necessary to meet the Contract. If you breach the Contract due to circumstances beyond your control, you undertake to cooperate with Standard Online to re-establish compliance with the Contract.

      2. Limited Guarantee

      a) Standard Online guarantees that Standard Online and the Copyright Holder unless otherwise stated in or on the Product can license the Product and all copyright and exploitation of the trade names that are associated with the Product.

      b) This guarantee is the only guarantee given for the Product. Neither Standard Online nor the Copyright Holder give any other form of guarantee for the Product, its reliability, adequacy, use or for the information or purposes contained in or reflected in the Product. Standard Online and the Copyright Holder waive all expressed and inferred guarantees with regard to functionality and suitability for the intended use. This waiver cannot be limited by Standard Online, the Copyright Holder or their representatives.

      3. Compensation Liability

      Standard Online, the Copyright Holder and their representatives ("Compensation Eligible Parties") are not liable to you. You undertake to hold all Compensation Eligible Parties free from liability for all claims and costs (including costs associated with legal assistance) that can be referred to personal or material damage, product liability or other claims that are based on your or your employees’ or agents’ use of the Product.

      4. Liability Limitation

      a) You agree with and accept that the obligations that Standard Online and/or the Copyright Holder have towards you with regard to the Product, are regulated exclusively by this Licence Agreement in addition to any overarching delivery agreement such as a Contract for Web Subscription. You are liable for the consequences of use of the Product regardless of whether or not this use takes place in accordance with the provisions of the Contract. Even though Standard Online and/or the Copyright Holder may have been aware of the risk for this, neither Standard Online and/or the Copyright Holder are liable for indirect damage and costs or for direct damage that the company, its employees, agents or third party may be affected by.

      b) If, in the opinion of Standard Online and/or the Copyright Holder, there is a risk that a claim can be submitted relating to the Product that is due to breach of a third party’s intellectual rights, Standard Online has the right at their own cost to: 

      i. contribute to the right for you to continue to use the Product,

      ii. change or replace the Product or parts thereof with another product in order to avoid such a claim, or

      iii. stop your use of the Product and refund the licence fee that you have paid.

      c) Standard Online is not liable for claims brought against you that could have been avoided if you had accepted a replacement product in accordance with the provisions above in Section 4 (b) or if use of the Product had been terminated. Under all circumstances, Standard Online and/or the Copyright Holder are liable for total compensation limited to an amount corresponding to the licence fee you have paid in accordance with this Licence agreement for the Product that was the cause of the damage.

      d) Section 4(b) is a complete and comprehensive regulation of Standard Online and the Copyright Holder’s compensation liability with regard to breach of rights or alleged breach of rights through use of the Product.

      e) Standard Online's liability under this agreement is limited under all circumstances to the fee you have paid or owe for the last six (6) months before the incident giving rise to liability occurred. 

      5. Export

      You do not have the right to export or re-export the Product or parts thereof, associated information or technology in contravention of current Norwegian and other applicable export laws.      

      6. Access Limitation and Information Obligation

      The Contract presupposes that it is ensured that only those who are entitled to use the Product in accordance with this Contract have access to the Product, and that all persons who use the Product are given information on the content and limitations on use pursuant to this Contract. 

      7. Force majeure

      If a situation should occur that makes it difficult or unreasonably burdensome for one party to fulfil its obligations under the agreement, the affected party shall be released from its obligations for as long as the situation continues, provided that the situation is deemed to be force majeure under Norwegian law. The affected party shall notify the other party of the circumstances without undue delay, including which obligations are affected and how long the situation is expected to continue.

      Force majeure affecting sub-contractors of Standard Online will be deemed to be force majeure under this Licence Agreement.

      8. Other Provisions

      This Contract constitutes complete regulation of that which has been agreed between the Parties with regard to use of the Product. Changes to the Contract can only be implemented through separate signed amendments to this Contract. If a provision of the Contract should be declared invalid for any reason whatsoever, the Contract must be revised only to the extent necessary to make the Contract valid, and such revision shall (i) not affect the validity of the invalid section under other circumstances or (ii) affect other sections of the Contract.

      9. Termination and Managing the Product after Expiry of the Contract

      You have the right to terminate the Contract in accordance with the regulations stated in Appendix 1 Definitions and General Contract Terms and Conditions. Standard Online and/or the Copyright Holder can rescind the Contract if you breach the Contract. If the Product is delivered in an electronic format or is made available as digital media, access will stop when the Contract ceases.  This does not apply to completed forms. They can be stored for the future in the Licensee’s own systems.  

      10. Disputes

      The legal venue is Oslo City Court.

      1. General

      Standard.no intends to follow established web standards (W3C XHTML 1.0) and other standards to the extent possible.

      Many of our services such as eBook, eForms, Web Subscription and downloading printouts require Adobe Reader on the client side. This is because we use DRM tools from Adobe. 

      Adobe Reader must be used for all our Services. No other PDF reader can be used.

      2. Subscriptions

      We recommend that the latest version of Adobe Reader DC 2015 is used to read and print our standards. It is also possible to use older versions, but no older than version Adobe 9x.

      This is because our standards are DRM-protected using tools from Adobe, which other PDF readers do not support. Subscriptions work in most browsers that support Adobe Reader. 

      3. My Page, downloading and print out of individual purchases

      We recommend that the latest version of Adobe Reader DC 2015 is used to read and print our standards. It is also possible to use older versions, but no older than version Adobe 9x.

      This is because our standards are DRM-protected using tools from Adobe, which other PDF readers do not support. Subscriptions work in most browsers that support Adobe Reader. 

      4. eForms

      Require the latest version of Adobe Reader DC 2015, but will in most cases also work with version 9x or later versions. eForms work best in the two latest versions of Internet Explorer and Firefox. Other browsers can be used, but we cannot guarantee that they will work due to lack of JavaScript support. In Safari, the built-in PDF reader must be deactivated, and Adobe must be set as default for opening PDFs in the browser. 

      5. eBook

      Works in most browsers, Adobe Reader DC 2015 or a version of Adobe no older than Adobe Reader 9x is required.

      6. Miscellaneous

      a) Printers

      Our standards work with most printers and copiers. It is possible that the printer will try to change the quality of the printout of our standards in order to get better printout quality. You may then experience that certain symbols and tables appear unusual because the printer does not have the correct font type installed. This can be solved by installing the correct font on the printer (difficult to find without the correct tools) or to try a different driver, e.g. PCL. One solution that always works is to print out as an image. This problem applies in particular to PostScript printers. Another option is to try a different printer.

      b) Proxy servers

      It is not recommended to use Proxy servers on http://www.standard.no, http://standard.no, https://www.standard.no, http://eblanketter.standard.no or https://rms.standard.no.

      c) Firewalls

      Firewalls must be opened for two-way traffic. This applies in particular to http://eblanketter.standard.no and https://rms.standard.no. These services are used for form-filling and display of standards, respectively. The User is responsible for opening their firewalls so that the Service can function.

      d) Internet access

      All our services require the User to have internet access unless otherwise specifically stated for a particular service.

      e) Software updates of browsers and Adobe Reader

      We recommend that our customers regularly install the latest updates for browsers and Adobe Reader. This will ensure updated fault finding and security from the software supplier. Standard Online does, however, not hold any responsibility for issues that may occur for the customer in using our services as a result of limitations introduced with updates of browsers, operating systems or other software outside of our control. We will however do our best to help our customers solve such issues.
