Updating of NORSOK N-004 and N-006 is about to start. Your input and comments are wanted.
It has been decided to update the standards NORSOK N-004 “Design of Steel Structures” and N-006 “Assessment of structural integrity for existing offshore load-bearing structures”. The work is about to start. The update will be limited to correction of known errors, sources for misunderstandings, inclusion of important parts that are missing and changes due to technical developments. In addition there are needs for changes of editorial nature like correction of references etc. Even if the scope for the revision is limited, users of the standards are invited to give comments on specific items that should be considered to be revised. All comments received before December 1st will be appreciated.
