E-learning NS-EN ISO 14001 Environmental management systems

This e-learning course introduces environmental management system in accordance with NS-EN ISO 14001. The course is divided into courses and lessons that take you through the standard using examples from companies certified in accordance with NS-EN ISO 14001.

The course is interactive with control questions along the way and ends with a knowledge test that must be passed. When passed, you can print a Certificate of Training. The course can be repeated several times, and you can retake the test if you do not pass the first time.

To become familiar with the standard and its structure, the course follows the chapters in the standard chronologically:

• Risk-based approach
• Environmental mapping
• Environmental management
• The role of the environmental manager
• Control questions
• Knowledge test
• Tips for implementing ISO 14001

Objectives

The course gives you a basic introduction an enables you to establish, implement and maintain a management system for the environment in accordance with NS-EN ISO 14001 Environmental management systems – Requirements with guidance for use
You will also gain knowledge to hold role(s) as environmental manager, process owner or other related functions that are part of the environmental management system.

Target audience

The course is relevant for managers, environmental managers, process owners or other related functions that are part of the management system for the environment. The course satisfies the requirements of NS-EN ISO 14001 for basic competence about the standard.

There is no requirement to prior knowledge for this course.
This e-learning course provides basic knowledge of ISO 14001, and is a preliminary course to the classroom course "Kurs i NS-EN ISO 14001 Ledelsessystemer for miljø (2 dager)".

Duration

Estimated time use is approx. 3 hours but can be completed at your own pace. The course is available six months from first login.
