Report: Standards can contribute to simplifying regulations

An analysis carried out by Menon Economics on behalf of Standards Norway, the Norwegian Electrotechnical Committee (NEK) and the Norwegian Better Regulation Council, has looked at how standards are referred to in the current regulations and the potential for simplification that lies in this.

The study from 2022 was based on a hypothesis that the correct use of standards in regulations can provide simplification both for the developers of the regulations (the state), the users of the regulations (business) and society at large.
