Semantic modelling and ontology

Introduction to semantic modelling and ontologies

Semantics is concerned with the relationship between signifiers - like words, phrases, signs, and symbols - and what they stand for in reality, their denotation that forms a logics.

Ontology encompasses a representation, formal naming, and definition of the categories, properties, and relations between concepts, data, and entities that substantiate one, many, or all domains.
